    Uczenie się języków obcych przez osoby w wieku senioralnym. Preparacja i ewaluacja materiałów glottodydaktycznych dla seniorów.

    Autorka rozprawy doktorskiej koncentruje się na zagadnieniu uczenia się języka obcego przez seniorów. Praca składa się z dziesięciu rozdziałów. Pierwsze pięć rozdziałów stanowi teoretyczne wprowadzenie do tematu i dotyczy szczegółowej analizy ważnych dla pracy pojęć takich jak: senior, wiek, gerontologia, motywacja do nauczania się języków obcych. Druga część pracy ma charakter empiryczny i zawiera analizę wybranych podręczników oraz wypowiedzi nauczycieli i samych seniorów dot. metod stosowanych w nauczaniu osób starszych oraz ważnych przesłanek do przygotowywania podręczników do nauki języka obcego dla tej grupy. The author of the doctoral dissertation concentrates on foreign language learning by senior-aged learners. The PhD thesis consists of ten chapters. The first five chapters illustrate definitions considered as important for the dissertation: senior-aged language learner, age, gerontology, senior motivation to learn. The second part of the dissertation has an empirical character and presents the results of the analysis of the didactic materials and the interviews with senior language learners as well as with language teachers.

    WebQuest as the Answer for Altering Learning/Educational Needs Using the Example of LSP

    The paper aims to present the possibilities WebQuest gives in the educational context for recognising and catering to individual learners’ needs. The focus of the article is on altering the learning conditions contributing to the deepening diversity of learners’ needs. The use of the example of WebQuest as a teaching tool in LSP (Language for SpecificPurposes) class for monitoring needs, together with a highly personalised teaching process, is analysed. The presented application of WebQuest fillsin the gap in the individualisation of the teaching process.
