Item Der Kasuswert des prädikativen Adjektivs in Infinitivkonstruktionen des Polnischen(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012) Aptacy, JarosławThe following paper addresses the issue of constructions with predicative adjectives in Polish. The main focus of attention will be put on adjectives which are governed by the copula in the infinitive form, as here one can observe some interesting casus alternation between the nominative and the instrumental. On the basis of the author’s own empirical analysis it will be examined which factors determine the choice of the casus. As it seems it is both the syntactic status of the infinitive construction and lexical factors.Item The Impact of Blended Learning on Teaching English for Vocational Purposes(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012) Lesiak-Bielawska, Elżbieta DanutaThe one-group experiment attempted to investigate the impact of blended learning on teaching English for Vocational Purposes (EVP). To maximize its internal and external validity, methodology of triangulation was employed. The problem of linguistic diversity protection and maintenance in opposition to monolingual global world is explored.Item Vokabellernen (ohne) Vergessen (mit) Vokabellernstrategien(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012) Cudzich, BartoszThe aim of this article is to describe the issue of effective vocabulary learning among the students of neophilological faculties as well as to provide an answer to the question on how to learn vocabulary effectively. To achieve this aim, two vocabulary learning strategies (the key-word method and learning by heart) were compared on the basis of empirical research. Subsequently, the formation of a resilient learner should be regarded as one of the aims of the formal schooling system on all levels of its functioning. The advantages of the presence of the resilient learner in a properly constructed ecosystem of the school are manifold and are, generally, aimed at generating a high degree of success in school tasks as well as at providing the human society with resilient participants.Item Interculturality on the border of disciplines. What follows is a thorough analysis of the presence of the intercultural approach in the theory and practice of the Polish language didactics and its relation to the pedagogy.Item Classroom-based language efficiency assessment: a challenge for EFL teachers(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2012) WACH, ALEKSANDRAThis paper attempts to highlight the significant multidimensional role of teachers of English as a foreign language in conducting language assessment in the process of teaching. The study presented in the article aimed to investigate school and university EFL teachers’ (n=87) beliefs about the place of assessment in their teaching practice and their role as assessors. The findings indicated that classroom assessment, though appreciated by the study participants, posed a major challenge to them.Item Zur Bedeutung des fremdsprachlichen Schreibens.
