Item Wychodnie rud miedzi na terenie ukrainy zachodniej jako baza surowcowa metalurgii kolorowej w okresie funkcjonowania kultury trypolskiej(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Klochko, Viktor I.; Manichev, Vjacheslav I.; Kompanec, Galina S.; Kovalchuk, Miron S.The article presents a study of copper ore from western Ukraine aimed at explanation of possibilities of their exploitation for the color metallurgy development during the period of Tripolye culture. It gives a short characteristics of lithological, mineralogical, and geochemical composition of copper ores from the Dneper area, Volhynia, and the Carpathians plateau. It further presents results of chemical and spectral analysis of ore-bearing rocks, evaluation of its current state and potential possibilities of their use in the past. Based upon a statement that metal objects produced during the existence of the Tripolye culture were made of pure copper two methods of its procurement were considered: (a) from a virgin copper, and (b) from oxygenated copper ore of sedimentary origin in which a small number of admixtures was noticed. The paper shows the potential of studies aimed at explanation of the correlation between contemporary and past copper ores and some copper goods from archaeological sites of the Tarnopol region.Item Kronika(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Kóčka-Krenz, HannaJUBILEUSZ 45-LECIA PRACY NAUKOWEJ PROFESOR ZOFII HILCZER-KURNATOWSKIEJItem Romanen und Bajuwaren im Inntal(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Michałowski, AndrzejOn the basis of available archaeological, historical, and linguistic evidence the article presents an overview of the beginnings of Inn valley (northern Tirol) population at the turn of antiquity and in the early phase of Middle Ages by German tribe of Bajuwaren. It further considers a reciprocal coexistence of these immigrants from beyond the Alps with local post-Roman groups of Breones. A peaceful coexistence, common religion (Catholicism) and external threat from Alamans, Longobards and Slavs led in a long run to the cultural and linguistic assimilation of Roman groups by Bajuwaren.Item „Miejsce cieniem kryte” w domu nr 4 z Kościelisk, pow. Olesno, woj. Opolskie (próba rekonstrukcji) - problem budownictwa podcieniowego w kulturze przeworskiej(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Michałowski, AndrzejThe article brings about another attempt to reconstruct the shape of house No. 4 from Kościeliska, Olesno district (Hedwigstein, Kr. Rosenberg) within the context of arcaded houses noticed at the Przeworsk culture settlements. The undertaken analysis makes possible a reinterpretation of the already published materials and proposes a new research strategy that addresses this issue more efficiently. This makes it possible to prove the existence of comer arcades in the architecture of the Przeworsk culture.Item Autoreferaty doktorskie(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Kaczmarek, MaciejROZWÓJ ZACHODNIOWIELKOPOLSKICH SPOŁECZNOŚCI KULTURY ŁUŻYCKIEJ W EPOCE BRĄZUItem Antyczne kamieniołomy Proconnesos. Zarys problematyki(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Grala, Katarzyna; Skoczylas, JanuszAuthors of this article visited the Marmara island in August 2000 during a short research stay. It was aimed at recognition of at the current condition of the quarries and their ancient remains, preparation of photo and graphic documentation as well as collection of samples for petrographic, chemical. X-rays, and isotopie analyses. The quarries have been functioning since the ancient times until the present day. A marble called the “Marmara-White” is extracted from them. During construction of two new breakwaters in Saraylar, next to which the quarries are located, a Roman and early Byzantine cemetery was found that led to the archaeological studies of the island and consequently to the renewed interest in marble distribution in ancient times.Item Autoreferaty doktorskie(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Ignaczak, MarcinGENEZA KULTURY ŁUŻYCKIEJ W STREFIE KUJAWItem Spis treści(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003)Item Analiza odcisków tkanin na IX-XI-wiecznej ceramice naczyniowej z Góry, gm. Pobiedziska, woj. wielkopolskie, stan. 1(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Sikorski, AndrzejResults of the analysis of fabrics impressions on pottery brings about a valuable information about materials used in potter’s workshops. It seems that old rags were most commonly used there. Craftsmen employed them for the following purposes: (a) to get a molded vessel unstuck from pad and/or wheel (the rag was put under the bottom - possibly instead of filling); (b) to smooth vessel’s surface (after it has been formed); (c) to carry finished, albeit still soft pot; (d) to put a drying vessel on the fabric. A study of “pottery” fabrics, often completely ignored by scholars, is not of trivial importance for the reconstruction of textile products, not only in the Middle Ages.Item Ze studiów nad początkami kultury łużyckiej w zachodniej Wielkopolsce(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Kaczmarek, MaciejThe article is an attempt to explain the origin of the Lusatian culture in western Wielkopolska on the basis of available archaeological evidence. The author inscribes the major role in the formation of the early Lusatian groups in western Wielkopolska to communities from Lower Silesia. From this territory culture impulses radiated along the Odra river, which led to the emergence of the early assemblages of the Urnfield culture in western Wielkopolska and the Lubusz Lands at the beginning of phase III of the Bronze Age.Item Recenzja(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Bukowski, ZbigniewJacek Woźny, Symbolika przestrzeni miejsc grzebalnych w czasach ciałopalenia zwłok na ziemiach polskich (od środkowej epoki brązu do środkowego okresu lateńskiego), Bydgoszcz 2000, ss. 187.Item Kronika(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Minta-Tworzowska, Danuta„ARCHEOLOGIA - PARADYGMAT - PAMIĘĆ”. Ziemie bałtyjskie a Skandynawia we wczesnym okresie wędrówek ludów(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Bitner-Wróblewska, AnnaInvestigations concerning the mutual contacts between Scandinavia and the south-eastern Baltic zone in the Early Migration Period should be combined with careful chronological studies, otherwise it is not possible to point out the source of inspiration and the direction of contacts. A barrier limited such studies still remains the differences in chronological systems used by the researchers from both sides of the Baltic Sea. The author has proposed the synchronisation of Balt-Scandinavian chronology based on the most common phenomenon in Europe in the Early Migration Period, namely the stamp ornamentation. But instead of rather amorphous styles the horizons of certain artefacts decorated in these styles, Samland and Sosdala horizons, have been distinguished and analysed. The author established the relative chronological sequence of individual artefacts within the Sosdala and Samland horizons. There are three phases of each horizon. In absolute dating the beginning of horizons in question could be placed in the 2nd half of the 4lh c., while their ending in mid 5lh c. Basing on such a framework it was possible to establish the sequences of both Scandinavian and Balt artefacts correlated to each other. It was possible to distinguish six phases: phase 0 preceding the appearance of the Samland and Sosdala horizons, phases 1-3 synchronic with these horizons and phases 4—5 succeeding the horizons in question. The above sequence of phases may be fitted within the interregional chronological framework.Item Kronika(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2003) Fogel, JerzyARCHIWUM PRYWATNE PROFESORA JÓZEFA KOSTRZEWSKIEGOItem
