Item Exemple au service de la spiritualité conjugale : les couples royaux dans « Le Livre de la vertu du sacrement de mariage » de Philippe de Mézières(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Loba, AnnaThe reading of the didactic works dedicated to the feminine public at the end of the Middle Ages teaches us that their authors treat the marriage as a natural vocation of the woman and although they are not indifferent to the religious dimension of the conjugal reality, it is the terrestrial and profane aspect that interests them more. So the works such as the Livre pour l'enseignement de ses filles of Geoffroy de La Tour Landry, Mesnagier de Paris and even Le Livre des Trois Vertus of Christine de Pizan appear in the form of textbooks in which the women can find any sort of rules, even practical advice on how to become a good wife and how to make a successful marriage. Among these books concerning the conjugal savoirfaire, the treaty of Philippe de Mézières Le Livre de la Vertu du sacrament de marriage et reconfort des dames mariés (1385-1389) occupies a very particular place. At first because the material sphere and everyday life of the life of a couple interest him only marginally, then because he turns all his attention to the essence of the marriage. Through his return in the spiritual conceptions of the marriage Philippe de Mézières anticipates his time. By putting in the heart of the marriage the love, by putting the love as the foundation of the marital union, he contributes to the advent of the modern couple which will triumph only after the Council of Thirty.Item Identité et altčrilč dans le roman québécois(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Voldrichová Beránková, EvaAs a « relational concept », alterity can only be defined in opposition to what sociologists call a « referential group », an entity which dictates political, religious or cultural norms in a concrete society. Our article will first explain the difference between simple « diversity » and real « alterity », which is perceived as a potential source of threat by the majority society. Using concrete figures from 19th and 20th century Quebec novels, we will illustrate various types of alterity and the general evolution of Canadian mentality in relation to various minorities.Item L'ibridismo nell'opera primoleviana(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Tichoniuk -Wawrowicz, EwaThe paper is dedicated to the writer's fascination of complexity of the universe and hybridism. He used to call himself a centaur, because of his double disposition: novelist/poet and chemist. Levi, stretched between being Italian and Jew, writer and chemist, commentator and translator, between the «daily» and «nightly» writing, was able to transcend the common division between letters and science. He was interested in contamination, mixture, mutation, and discussed hybridity in many essays and literary scherzos to show convolutions of human condition and prolific richness of life. Levi's unusual powers of observation combine with an abundance of themes and literary forms, which proves that his works are marked by hybridism at morphological level as well.Item La percezione disturbata e le sue conseguenze in «Almost blue» di Carlo Lucarelli(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Kornacka, BarbaraDistorted Perception and its Consequences in «Almost Blue», a Novel by Carlo Lucarelli is an article which deals with an analysis and description of the three main characters from the perspective of their sensory perception of reality. In each analysed case the main characters' experiences are distorted (damaged, misinterpreted) due to blindness, mental disease or Premenstrual Syndrome. The distorted sensory perception affects their contact with reality and their understanding of certain phenomena. Their individual human corporality changes the sense of reality.Item La réalisation des actes de parole dans les textes usuels sur l'exemple des annonces matrimoniales(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Otulak-Komenda, MonikaThey are representatives (a glorification and doubts), directives (a request, questions, an encouragement and a temptation, an invitation, an advice, a prohibition), commissives (a promise and an obligation), expressives (a thanks, a greeting) and declarations. Thanks to them reaching the goal of persuasion: coming into a contact between sender and recipient becomes possible.Item Las aproximantes espańolas, entre la teoría y la práctica(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Szałek, JerzyOne of the phonetic curiosities of the modern Spanish language is the occurrence of a group of voiced allophones [ ß, R, y] in its phonetic and phonological system, at present defined by Spanish specialists in phonetics as "aproximantes" which are the realisation of /b, d, g/ phonemes inside words and between words. The paper presents the acoustic and articulatory basis for their detachment from the group of the fricative allophones and a detailed way of articulation. The issue of their articulatory stabilisation within the system of standard and non-standard Spanish is also raised. Additionally, the author of the paper pays special attention to problems of articulation in the process of teaching the above-named allophones in phonetics classes designed for the students of the Spanish philology.Item Les constructions bàties sur les noms de relations converses -principes d'analyse syntagmatique(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Nkollo, MikołajStructural modeling of sentences based on the nouns of converse relations has to be designed so as to take into account the diversity of syntactic functions covered by this class of language signs. It implies taking into consideration particular features of pairs of converse relations depending on the part of speech they represent. Fundamental methodological assumptions of this approach are to be sought in socalled "semantically based grammar".Item Les différentes relations entre le verbal et le visual sur l'exemple des journaux télévisés(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Borowczyk, PaulinaThe article presents that the sense of verbal-visual messages is a result of various relations between text and images (parallel, supplementing and interpretative meaning, equivalence and contradiction). The author tries to show what type of relations is present in the French-German news that has to be translated for foreign recipient and to observe how images can influence the decisions of a translator in this type of texts.Item Métaphores dans le lexique, français et polonais, de l'hydrologie(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Kozar, LilianaMetaphor has been one of the most important research areas in linguistics for a few decades up to now. However, its value as a way of artistic expression in general language is indisputable, its presence in the specialised languages may be strongly questionable. How to explain the success of metaphor among the terms? What is its type and function? What is the mechanism of the meaning and the direction of metaphorisation in the language of hydrology, French and Polish? There are some questions to which the author of this paper attempted to find answers.Item Misoginism. Femme fatale. Androgyne - despre creatiile feminine în proza lui Mateiu Caragiale(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Kornas-Warwas, JoannaThe article tells about the female characters in Mateiu Caragiale's literary work and tries to depict the characteristics of modern prose in 1930s that reflect the tendencies concentrated on the idea of „battle of the sexes". The emancipation and the changing role of women in the society led to the phenomenon of misogyny, while the image of femme fatale became a popular literary theme. On the other hand there existed the archetype of Androgyne that become a perfect incarnation of both sexes. All these aspects mentioned above found a reflection in Mateiu Caragiale's novel „Craii de Curtea Veche" proving the universal character of his work.Item Nationalisme et littérature au cours de la renaissance acadienne (1864-J930). Voix discordantes(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Guérin, Pierre M.This article examines a key event in the literary history of the Acadian renaissance (1864-1930), the founding of newspapers. Our study deals specifically with the status given to literary works in newspapers. In sequence, we will look at Marichette's Lettres (1895-1898) published in L'Évangéline, the novel Placide, l'homme mystérieux by Paul (1904-906) published in L'Impartial and the play « Subercase » (1902, 1936) published in Le Moniteur acadienItem «Ne pas traduire, c'est traduire encore». Et si la non-traduction était un procédé de traduction ?(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Bocquet, Catherine AThis paper shows the manifold aspects of the non-translation phenomenon : besides shortened and summarized versions, which alter the source text in a quantitative way, non-translation can also have a qualitative effect, for instance when sociocultural references are erased. If non-translation is an infringement of the translator's duties, in some cases it can be a very fruitful solution. There is a lack of literature on the subject, and although it is often mentioned briefly, this phenomenon has never been tackled seriously.Item «Petites difficultés » de traduction et la volonté de rester francophone en Amérique du Nord(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Merkle, DeniseThis article outlines briefly Acadian literary history in New Brunswick from 1970 to the present and concentrates on four writers: A. Maillet (La Sagouiné), R.G. LeBlanc ("Je suis Acadien"), G. Leblanc (Moncton Mantra) and F. Daigle (Petites difficultés d'existence). Their work is marked by the portrayal of sociolinguistic conflict between minority French and dominant English in Canada. We attempt to determine the consequences of this conflict on the translation of the works into English. Each literary presentation is followed by a short analysis of the respective translated passage taken from La Sagouine (L. de Céspedes), "I am Acadian" (F. Cogswell/J.-A. Elder), Moncton Mantra (J.-A. Elder) and Life's Little Difficulties (R. Majzels).Item Qualche riflessione sulla relazione fra il significato e il significante: natura e classificazione dei gesti quasi-linguistici diretti(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Szarota, BeataThe article presents the classification of symbolic and conventional gestures used in communication otherwise known as quasi-linguistic gestures. The author classified them into two types i.e. direct gestures and indirect gestures otherwise known as linguistic calques. In the present article the first type is presented in detail with a division into the following subtypes deictic, iconic, symbolic and ideographic-metaphoric. Some examples from Polish and Italian are also provided.Item Que signifie la liberté en traduction littéraire ? Entre le produit, le processus, l'activité et la réflexion critique(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Klimkiewicz, AureliaTraditionally, literary translation was discussed in terms of form and content dichotomy. Yet when we take a closer look, translation is a complex phenomenon inscribed in a particular social and cultural space. In this article we investigate translation from three different perspectives: linguistic, social, and hermeneutical. The first focuses on the interlinguistic transfer, the second on the society that regulates professional behavior, while the last approach gives insight into the translator's subjectivity able to question the social order and defend transgressive practices of translation.Item Quelques caractéristiques du lexique acadien(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Gérin, Pierre M.This article constitutes a study of the composition of Acadian lexical units as well as the main methods of lexical unit formation: archaisms, regionalisms, lexical borrowing from Amerindian languages and English. We conclude our study with a look at an important characteristic of this vocabulary, the use on land of maritime terminology.Item Quelques considérations sur les relations dans les séries synony-miques sur l'exemple des adjectifs français et polonais(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Tkaczyk, MagdalenaThe article presents a brief overview of the results of research on synonymity including different views and various ways of defining the problem. The author then goes on to emphasize the important role of context in the description of the analyzed items. She also includes the notion of connotation closely connected with the chosen material. The present article describes typical relations between French and Polish synonymous adjectives series.Item Sobre los orígenes y las confusiones terminológicoconceptuales de los términos de "aspecto"y de "Aktionsart"(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Pawlak, AnetaThe paper presents, on the one hand, various terms that assign the categories of aspect and Aktionsart and, on the other hand, emphasizes that the concepts regarding them are not homogeneous. The confusions are supposed to have originated in the past. Therefore, we'll sketch briefly the history of aspect and Aktionsart in order to show that the term and the concept of aspect should be related exclusively to the Slavonic languages.Item Téte-à-téte avec Hamlet ou Jules Laforgue et George Rodenbach suites sur les pas de William Shakespeare(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Lewandowska, AlicjaThe aim of the paper at hand is to find parallel elements between the following two texts: Jules Laforgue's Hamlet, ou les suites de la piété filiale (1886) and George Rodenbach's Bruges-la-Morte (1892), in relation to William Shakespeare's play. Our analysis is of a three-level character. Firstly, it is concerned with a comparison of biographies of the two 19th century authors. Secondly, it takes into its scope the plot events of both texts in question. Thirdly, it attempts to explain the linguistic transposition of poetry into prose. The final goal of this perusal is a demarcation of common points of reference between the three texts, which, in turn, is to prove Hamlet's intertextuality.Item Un aspetto particolare del plurilinguismo della societŕ italiana: il rapporto lingua vs. dialetti nell'insegnamento scolastico in Italia(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2008) Beszterda, IngeborgaThis article presents the issue of linguistic policy and the attitude of educational authorities towards dialects from the point of view of the multi-lingual and multiculture Italian society. Due to specific historical conditions the linguistic situation in Italy is characterized by a high degree of heterogeneity -numerous dialects exist alongside the national language. After the period of the political unity of Italy in 1861 the educational authorities have had to tackle two problems: the necessity of having to choose a linguistic norm and also mutual relations between the language and the dialects. Those issues were and still are highly controversial and are subject to heated polemics as the answer to the question of whether to accept dialects or eliminate them from school education has never been found.
