The importance of virtual counselling in connection with the computerization of the educational and professional environment of a man
Abstract
The main area of thought in this article is to describe and show the importance of virtual careers
counselling in connection with the processes of computerization and informatization of man’s
educational and professional environment. The starting point for the discussion on the unique
way the students and workers function in an information society is understanding the idea of continuous
education and its role in the process of shaping one’s career path. A very important issue
of present changes and demands on the job market is also taken up. The importance of modern
information technologies in the educational and professional environments of people is the basis
for the thought on the need for creating and improving the virtual counselling offer. Showing its
importance in the context of a lifelong process, and not only in the key moments of one’s educational
and professional career, is the fi nal issue described in this article.
