Adam Mickiewicz University Archive. The issues of document menagement in an institution of higher education
Abstract
Praca składa się ze wstępu, pięciu rozdziałów, zakończenia i aneksów.
Pierwszy rozdział, Zarys dziejów Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza, przedstawia jego historię, organizację i rozwój od 1919 roku do 2014. W dalszej części opisane zostały trudne lata 1939-1945 (okres działalności tajnego Uniwersytetu Ziem Zachodnich i Reichsuniversität Posen) oraz wznowienie działalności i rozwój Uniwersytetu po 1945 roku.
Kancelaria Uniwersytetu. Organizacja i funkcjonowanie to drugi rozdział. Omówiono tutaj rolę dziennika podawczego i jego zmiany, obieg dokumentacji i jej rodzaje, znaczenie instrukcji kancelaryjnej i wykazu akt.
Trzeci rozdział opisuje Archiwum Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu (dalej Archiwum UAM) – jego historię, organizację, rozwój. W końcowej części rozdziału przedstawione zostały sylwetki kierowników Archiwum oraz opisane zostały kwestie związane z pozostałym personelem.
Czwarta cześć pracy Zarządzanie dokumentacją szkoły wyższej. Funkcje i nowe zadania Archiwum Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu traktuje o funkcjach i zadaniach Archiwum UAM. Są to: gromadzenie, przechowywanie, zabezpieczanie, opracowywanie, udostępnianie i brakowanie dokumentacji. Opisane zostały także nowe funkcje archiwów: edukacyjna, informacyjna i popularyzacja.
Ostatni rozdział stanowi charakterystykę zasobu przechowywanego w Archiwum UAM. Całość zgromadzonej dokumentacji jest podzielona na: akta Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego (1919–1939), materiały Reichsuniwersität Posen i dokumetacja wytworzona po 1945 roku.
The thesis consists of the introduction followed by five chapters, the conclusion and annexes. The first chapter The outline of history of Adam Mickiewicz University discusses its history, organization and development from 1919 to 2014. Furthermore, this chapter describes the difficult years of 1939-1945 (the period of secret activities of the University of the Western Lands and Reichsuniversität Posen) and the resumption of operations and development of the University since 1945. Office activities of Adam Mickiewicz University. Organization and functions is the second chapter. It discussed the role of input log and his changes, circulation and character writings, the importance of office instruction and documents’ register. The third chapter describes Adam Mickiewicz University Archive, later AMU Archive, its history, organization and development. At the end of this part of work there some information is given about heads of AMU Archive and its employees. The fourth chapter Higher school documentation management. Functions and responsibilities of Adam Mickiewicz University Archives deals with all the responsibilities assigned to AMU Archives has to deal with. They are as follow: collection, preservation, storage, development and giving access to all the documents developed at the University. Furthermore it describes the new features of archives: education, information and popularization. The last chapter is a characteristic of the fund stored in the Archives of AMU. The whole collected documentation is divided into files of the University of Poznan (1919-1939), materials Reichsuniwersität Posen and files produced after 1945.
