    Ten film byl(a) pohádka
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2018-03) Hrdlička, Milan
In some cases a predicate formed by a copulative verb být (to be) and a noun in nominative case may be expressed in two different agreement forms in past tense: that is either with the noun in position of a subject (Ten film byl pohádka), or with the noun forming a verbo-nominal predicate (Ten film byla pohádka). For an easier distinction of the grammar role of these nouns, especially in scholarly and journalistic texts, a noun in nominative case represents a subject and a noun in instrumental case represents a predicative noun.

Nieoficjalne urbanonimy Brna na tle podobnych nazw Poznania i Warszawy (rekonesans badawczy)
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2018-03) Juszczak, Bartosz
The article studies unofficial Brno urbanonimes (on the basis of the same names in Warsaw and Poznan). The empirical part of the research material constitutes 265 unofficial names of urban space objects excerpted from lexicographical sources and from web portals. The collected material represents three types of urban space objects that are represented by a different number of urbanonimes. The formation of the aforementioned toponyms requires a (limited) set of word-formation processes, such as univerbation, foreign lexicon borrowings, elliptical constructions and metaphorical transfers.

Jak je český národ charakterizován v kinematografii (Glosa s využitým etnonymickým názvoslovím)
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2018-03) Hampl, Lubomír
The author of this article above all wishes to show how the Czech are perceived and characterized within the described domain of cinematography. For the purpose of this article the author had chosen a Czech sitcom entitled Hospoda (The Inn), which contains numerous examples of self characteristics of the Czech ethnic group. All the Czech language examples with the highlighted „national component” placed here are treated by modern linguistics seriously as the stereotype coefficient, which is deep-set in cultural linguistic code. In most of the analyzed examples all the actors of the presented sitcom were able to accurately point human faults and imperfections. It is thanks to them that Czech audience (the representatives of the nation) are able to realize their shortcomings.

Zakončení přídavných jmen na -ózní v současné češtině
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2018-03) Artemov, Andrej
The article deals with the emergence of new connotations in word formation using the suffix -ózní (-osní) for adjectival neologisms and occasionalisms. In contemporary spoken and written Czech language there are a number of such neologisms. The author bases his findings in examining the SYN2015 corpus of the Czech National Corpus and available Czech dictionaries. Besides neologisms and occasionalism, the attention is given to loans that are already used and terminological adjectives with the aforementioned suffix.

Několik poznámek k ne/formálnosti jazykové komunikace v češtině
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2018-03) Lollok, Marek
This article deals with the issue of so-called formality and informality in language communication in Czech; the aim is to clarify this frequent but not unambiguous concept. We comment some basic aspects of this concept, e. g. the connection with the pragmatic aspects of communication as well as with language and extra-lingual standards and other stylistic dichotomies. Part of the text follows up the current trend of deflection from formality (as well as from standard Czech) in situations previously or so far fundamentally formal; in more detail we describe this trend in media communication.
