Development and optimalization of a method for the separation of natural humic substances from Lignite
Abstract
Celem pracy było opracowanie i optymalizacja
technologii wyodrębniania substancji humusowych
(SH) z węgli brunatnych wydobywanych w KWB
Sieniawa. Opracowana technologia jest
alternatywą dla rozwiązań istniejących w stanie
techniki. Opracowano technologię produkcji SH z
węgli brunatnych na skalę pilotażową. Pierwszym
etapem było rozpoznanie złoża pod względem
zasobności w surowce o parametrach
umożliwiających ekstrakcję SH. Określono
właściwości fizykochemiczne pokładu węgla
brunatnego. W drugim etapie określono wydajność
ekstrakcji SH oraz scharakteryzowano właściwości
otrzymanych ekstraktów kwasów huminowych.
Charakterystyki dokonano między innymi na
podstawie analizy elementarnej, zawartości Corg,
widm FTIR. Kolejnym etapem było opracowanie założeń umożliwiających wdrożenie technologii w
skali pilotażowej na podstawie analizy
statystycznej. Opracowano schemat
technologiczny, ideowy, przedstawiono bilans
masowy. Na etapie rozruchu wykonano
doświadczenia weryfikujące założenia teoretyczne.
Ostatnim etapem było porównanie otrzymanego
produktu z produktami podobnymi. W rezultacie
obniżono zużycie wody procesowej, uwzględniono
możliwość oczyszczania roztworów
poekstrakcyjnych i zawracanie skroplonej wody.
Zminimalizowano ilość powstających ścieków oraz
zagospodarowano pozostałość poekstrakcyjną
dzięki czemu technologię można uznać za
bezodpadową.
Currently, lignite is almost entirely used for energy purposes. The unique properties of the raw material from Sieniawa have allowed for the realisation of a project that aimed at developing a technology for manufacturing new products based on humic acids (HA).The literature section discusses the general situation of lignite in the world, it presents the potential of HA use. An analysis of the state of technology in the field of existing solutions was also carried out. The results of the analysis of the physicochemical properties of various types of lignite obtained in this study allowed the selection of coal with the best technological parameters useful to produce HA. Based on a laboratory analyses, statistical response surface models were developed. That allowed the selection and optimisation of the extraction process on a pilot scale. The individual steps of the technology were defined, and a mass balance was presented with the listing of products and the management of residues.Based on observation of the extracted Ha, it was found that they are characterised by higher carbon content and the presence of more aromatic groups than HA derived from peat or water. As a result of their introduction into the soil, we obtain a stable humus fraction rich in organic carbon. This will provide the right conditions for plant growth and contribute to improving the fertility of the soil.
