The shape of social policy in front of family during transformation period
Abstract
The process of transformation is - on the one hand - new challenges and successful response from
some but on the other hand is the process of material depravation and worsening the conditions of life of
many families in Poland during the nineties. One of the most responsible factors in this process is
unemployment - with especially high rate in Poland - still increasing. Great area o f poverty in Poland -
due to subjective and objective factors need necessary solutions. Discussion about proportions o f this aid
between central and local level of social policy is still the core of controversy in such subjects. This
doesn’t mean that the new model of social policy ought to be the base on the background that it can be
an important factor of social development but not only the burden to the state budget.
