Głównym celem pracy jest przedstawienie technik i metod opracowanych w ramach psychologii pozytywnej oraz empiryczna weryfikacja związków pomiędzy stylami atrybucji i nastawianiem wobec inteligencji (czyli modelami opracowanymi przez psychologów pozytywnych) a ocenami szkolnymi. Rozdział 1, "Perspektywa interesariuszy systemu szkolnego", jest opisem sytuacji trzech głównych uczestników systemu szkolnego: uczniów, nauczycieli i opiekunów, z perspektywy psychologicznej i socjologicznej. Rozdział 2, "Psychologia pozytywna w interwencjach edukacyjnych - geneza, stan obecny, perspektywy", zawiera opis pojęć, które są źródłami psychologii pozytywnej: eudajmonia, psychologia humanistyczna, teoria samodeterminacji. W drugiej części rozdziału znajduje się analiza psychologii poznawczej i dwóch istotnych modeli, stworzonych w ramach psychologii pozytywnej: stylów atrybucji M. Seligmana i tzw. "nowej teorii inteligencji” C. Dweck. Rozdział 3, "Praktyka edukacyjna oparta na psychologii pozytywnej", przedstawia charakterystykę modeli ćwiczeń opracowanych w psychologii pozytywnej. Rozdział 4 poświęcony jest własnym badaniom autora, służącym weryfikacji dwóch głównych hipotez badawczych: (a) dominujący styl atrybucji koreluje z ocenami szkolnymi oraz (b) przekonania nt. inteligencji korelują z ocenami szkolnymi. Łącznie sformułowano i zweryfikowano 8 hipotez badawczych.
The main object of the thesis is to demonstrate educational usefulness of techniques, methods and concepts developed within positive psychology for pupils in age 13-16. Chapter 1, “Perspective of school system’s stakeholders”, is a description of the situation of three main participants of school system: pupils/students, teachers and caregivers. The most interesting for further analysis is psychological and sociological characteristic of these groups. Chapter 2, “Positive psychology in educational interventions – genesis, current state, perspectives”, contains description of concepts, which are sources of positive psychology: eudaimonia, humanistic psychology, theory of self-determination. In the second part of the chapter, there is an analysis of cognitive psychology and two most important concepts within positive psychology: M. Seligman’s model of attributional styles and C. Dweck’s “new theory of intelligence”. Chapter 3, “Educational practices based on positive psychology”, presents characteristics of practice models developed within positive psychology. Chapter 4 is dedicated to the author’s own research. There were two main hypothesizes: (a) the stronger attributional style, the better school grades and (b) the stronger believe that intelligence can be develop, the better school grades. The annex is an author’s training program for teachers, based on positive psychology.
