The author starts form the general notion of integration, considers properties of the notion of economic integration in the economic sciences and, eventually, formulates the definition of the integration of industrial enterprises. Subsequently, the author examines in details these phenomena which characterize the essence of this integration and namely he discusses the role of institutional forms in the integration of industrial enterprises, analyses the importance of real and organizational links between enterprises or their divisions, and presents the part of effectiveness factors.
