W sposób szczególny przedstawia proces jej podziału w obliczu zmian organizacyjnych w latach 50-tych XX w. Rozdział pierwszy ukazuje tradycje akademickie Poznania oraz dzieje i historię Uniwersytetu w latach 1919-1955. W kolejnej części omówieniu poddano zasady postępowania z dokumentacją oraz pojęcie zespołu archiwalnego, które stanowi jedno z najważniejszych pojęć całej dziedziny archiwalnej. Rozdział trzeci porusza kwestie pozostałości aktowej Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego. Ukazano proces tworzenia na bazie likwidowanych wydziałów nowych szkół – Akademii Medycznej, Wyższej Szkoły Wychowania Fizycznego i Wyższej Szkoły Rolniczej. Przedstawiono go w sposób szczególny w odniesieniu do dokumentacji. Obecnie wszystkie materiały archiwalne, choć wytworzone przez jednego odrębnego twórcę są przechowywane w czterech archiwach uczelnianych. Ostatnia część przedstawia zmiany organizacyjne na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim i Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim. Jednocześnie pokazuje postępowanie z dokumentacją w momencie tworzenia się nowych szkół w innych ośrodkach naukowych. Pracę należy uznać za opracowanie dotyczące dziejów dokumentacji wytworzonej przez jeden z najstarszych uniwersytetów w Polsce – Uniwersytet Poznański działający dziś jako Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. The dissertation is devoted to the documentation produced by the University of Poznań in the years 1919-1955. It presents the process of its division in the face of organisational changes in the 1950s in particular. The first chapter discusses the academic traditions of the University of Poznań and history of the University in the period of 1919-1955. The next chapter presents the principles of dealing with records and the notion of an archival ensemble, which is one of the most important concepts in the entire field of archival science. The third chapter deals with the issues of the legacy of the University of Poznań's records. The dissertation presents the process of creating new schools on the basis of the liquidated faculties. The established schools include the Medical Academy, the Higher School of Physical Education and the Higher School of Agriculture. It is demonstrated with particular reference to documentation. At present, all archival material, although produced by one separate author, is stored in the four university archives. The last part presents the organisational changes at Warsaw University and Jagiellonian University. At the same time, it shows the handling of documentation when new schools were established in other research centres.
