Malarstwo, rzeźba, architektura wraz z myślą urbanistyczną oraz sztuką budowlaną, jak również jubileuszowe rękodzieło artystyczne, włączone zostały swymi funkcjami estetycznymi i kulturowymi w proces umacniania wspólnoty, zintegrowanej mocą duchową Kościoła, lecz rządzącej się jednocześnie świeckimi prawami ekonomii czy polityki.The thesis advances a claim that art which accompanied subsequent jubilees promulgated between 1300-1575, and therefore involved and co-organising the celebratory rites of Jubilee Years, remained in a multi-faceted relation with the social environment that constituted the background of broadly understood spectacles of papal power.
