Article refers to the theoretical analysis and the results of their research. In the first part author analyzes the social participation and confidence in the institutions of social life. Results of the study are compared with other results. On the one hand, young people declare their willingness to help others. On the other hand, often insufficiently actively participate in social life and do not trust the institution.
