In the absence of the possibility of linguistic communication, gesticulation becomes a social and pragmatic communication tool used by children. It allows children to interact with adults, to communicate their intentions, requests and feelings associated with a particular object or event. Increasingly, researchers propose a broader look at the gestures of a small child, taking into account the motives, intentions and joint attention between partners. The aim of my theoretical and empirical consideration is to make the body language of young children better understandable by parents, teachers and educationalists.plinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessgesticulationnonverbal communicationchildren’s communicationGestykulacja jako społeczno-pragmatyczne narzędzie komunikacji dziecięcej.
