Odpowiednia stymulacja dziecka w tym okresie, tworzenie właściwych relacji z otoczeniem, czy też obserwacja pożądanych wzorców, stanowią płaszczyznę prawidłowego rozwoju dziecka. Dlatego też istotną kwestią staje się zwrócenie uwagi zarówno na to jak przebiega rozwój jednostki, ale i także na to, w jaki sposób można go stymulować. Interesującą zatem, z poznawczego punktu widzenia staje się próba udzielenia odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy rodzice i opiekunowie są świadomi tego jak wiele w procesie rozwoju dziecka zależy właśnie od nich, a także czy podejmują jakieś kroki w celu stymulowania ich rozwoju. Powyższe rozważania w sposób jednoznaczny definiują zasadniczy cel podjętych eksplikacji badawczych, którym jest zbadanie jakie są opinie i doświadczenia rodziców i opiekunów, dotyczące wspomagania przez nich rozwoju dzieci. Tematyka ta jest stosunkowo rzadko podejmowana w literaturze przedmiotu, stanowiąc tym samym swoistą lukę na drodze naukowych dociekań. Praca doktorska składa się z pięciu rozdziałów, z czego pierwsze dwa obejmują wyjaśnienia teoretyczne. Kolejne trzy rozdziały zostały poświęcone prezentacji założeń metodologicznych oraz rezultatów badań własnych.The first years are a critical point in a child’s lifetime. It is the time when the child gets new skills, experience and different types of habits which permanently stay in its biography. Proper child’s stimulation at this time, creating the right relations with the environment, or observing the desired patterns, is the foundation of proper child’s development. It is therefore important to draw attention to both the development of the individual and how it can be stimulated. Interestingly, from the cognitive point of view there is an attempt to answer the question whether parents and carers are aware of how much the child’s development process depends precisely on them and whether they are taking steps to stimulate its development. The foregoing reflections clearly define the main purpose of the research explications, which is to explore the opinions and experiences of parents and carers about their support for the child’s development. This subject is relatively rarely undertaken in the literature of the subject, Hus constituting a peculiar gap in the way of scientific inquiry. This PHD thesis consists of five chapters, the first two of which enfold theoretical explanations.
