W dysertacji przedstawiono dwa stworzone przez autorkę modele numeryczne: 1) model depozycji dropstonów w płytkich zbiornikach wodnych wraz z modelem powstawania struktur deformacyjnych formujących się wokół opadającego na dno żwiru oraz 2) model powstawania struktur deformacyjnych indukowanych sejsmicznie, tj. sejsmitów. Oba modele przedstawiono z uwzględnieniem ich zastosowań, potencjału predykcyjnego oraz graniczeń. Zostały one także porównane z obserwacjami terenowymi i pozytywnie przeszły walidację obserwacyjną. Na podstawie uzyskanych w symulacjach komputerowych wyników, wyciągnięto odpowiednie wnioski odnoszące się doprocesów powstawania wyżej wymienionych struktur.The doctoral thesis, consisting of three thematically coherent articles published in journals from the JCR list and their summary (in Polish and English), relates to the numerical modeling of Pleistocene deformation structures in glacigenic sediments. The dissertation presents two numerical models created by the author: 1) a model of the dropstone deposition process in shallow water reservoirs along with a model of the formation of deformation structures forming around the gravel falling in to the bottom sediments, and 2) a model of the formation of seismically induced deformation structures, i.e. seismites. Both models are presented with regard to their applications, predictive potential and limitations. They were also compared with field observations and successfully passed the observational validation.
