The starting point for the discussion on the unique way the students and workers function in an information society is understanding the idea of continuous education and its role in the process of shaping one’s career path. A very important issue of present changes and demands on the job market is also taken up. The importance of modern information technologies in the educational and professional environments of people is the basis for the thought on the need for creating and improving the virtual counselling offer.
