Komponent językowy spektaklu powinien posiadać cechy dyskursu mówionego, co stanowi o naturalności dialogów scenicznych i zapewnia ich zrozumiałość. W przypadku teatru frankofońskich mniejszości kanadyjskich idiolekt poszczególnych postaci nosi znamiona hybrydowości językowej (hétérolinguisme, code-switching), która jest odzwierciedleniem złożonej tożsamości frankofonów żyjących w Kanadzie. Niniejsza rozprawa doktorska stanowi próbę opisania możliwości a także zagrożeń, jakie niesie za sobą zastosowanie stylizacji językowej jako strategii przekładowej w przypadku tłumaczenia sztuk teatralnych. Analiza poszczególnych typów stylizacji (stylizacja na język potoczny, stylizacja gwarowa, stylizacja na język młodzieżowy), ich funkcji oraz technik ma na celu ukazanie zarówno możliwości, jakie daje ona w budowaniu dialogów scenicznych, lecz również scharakteryzowanie natury zagrożeń, jakie niesie ze sobą zastosowanie stylizacji w przekładzie, szczególnie na poziomie konotacji.The oral character inherent to a theatre text invests it with functions that pertain strictly to the spoken word and that translator must to take into account. Written to be delivered on stage, the theatre text is fashioned by oral codes that vary and take on different values according to the social and cultural context in which the play is produced. Recourse to the practice of code-switching and other forms of heterolingualism specific to the francophone communities in Canada poses a challenge to the translator especially in a context of a historical conflict of two official languages of Canada. The core of this dissertation is studying the translation possibilities of culturally determined french-canadian speech varieties in theater translation into polish. The thesis will explore translation strategies proposed and applied by the translators in order to reproduce the discourse contrast between the protagonists. As stylization (colloquial stylization, stylization with elements of slang or dialect) is the strategy used by all polish translators, the author will determine and describe the different types of stylization, methods, purposes and also the nature of risks that the application of stylization could bring, especially in a context of theatre translation.Vu la nature du spectacle qui est un réseau complexe des signes de nature différente, la traduction pour le théâtre constitue un type particulier de la traduction littéraire. L’oralité et sa réception immédiate par le public constituent les facteurs que traducteur des textes dramatiques doit prendre en considération. Les caractéristiques mentionnées sont encore plus remarquables dans le contexte de la dramaturgie canadienne d’expression française qui affiche l'hybridité linguistique et l'alternance des codes oraux (l’hétérolinguisme) en tant que représentation légitime de la façon d’être francophone dans le milieu anglophone et multiculturel. Confrontés à un tel obstacle, les traducteurs polonais ont employé la stratégie de stylisation pour atteindre l’effet du contraste discursif entre les protagonistes.
