The author of this paper comes to the conclusion that the up-to-date applied tools of analysis are not sufficient for a proper realization of this task because they give only fundamentals to isolate the so called direct income effects. In fact, however, the increase of direct incomes, considering the principle of multiplier reaction, gives rise to their further growth known as indirect and induced income effect. When we apply the input-output model in the account, however these multiplier income effects may by quite well distinguished and estimated. Practical application of this model allows us to estimate the disaggregated sector income multipliers. In cases when only the dimensions of direct income are known, these multipliers can be helpful in the analysis of the economic efficiency of the particular sector of the regional economy from the point of view of income maximization. Presenting various types of multipliers, the author divides them into two groups: classical and non-classical groups of multipliers derived from input- -output models. In this paper a simple numeral example has been given to make the reader familiar with the calculations preceeding these multipliers. The final part of this paper refers to the comparisons of income multipliers derived from input-output models as well as from the economic base model. On the basis of these comparisons the author states that in the Polish regional planning practice the income multiplier, derived from the economic base model, cannot be dealt with as a substitute of multipliers obtained from the regional input- -output models.polinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMetoda nakładów-wyników w planowaniu pieniężnych dochodów ludności regionuArtykuł
