Ojcostwo osób niepełnoletnich rozpatrywać można jako zjawisko wielowymiarowe, albowiem doświadczenia z nim związane wpływać mogą (pośrednio i bezpośrednio) na różne obszary ich funkcjonowania. Z uwagi na okres życia, w jakim omawiane tu zdarzenie występuje, uznać je należy za przedwczesne, i jednocześnie przyjąć, że generować ono może szereg różnorodnych konsekwencji, nie tylko w życiu zbyt młodych ojców, ale także w życiu ich dzieci oraz partnerek. Projekty działań profilaktycznych i pomocowych, dotyczących rodzicielstwa małoletnich chłopców, wymagają diagnozy, odnoszącej się do tego zjawiska. Podjęcie badań, służących takiej diagnozie wydaje się zatem w pełni uzasadnione i społecznie ważne. Praca doktorska składa się z siedmiu rozdziałów, z czego pierwsze trzy obejmują wyjaśnienia teoretyczne zawierające po pierwsze, kwestie związane z ojcostwem i rolą ojca, po drugie, kwestie dotyczące charakterystyki młodzieży w okresie dorastania oraz po trzecie kwestie odnoszące się wprost do problematyki niepełnoletniego ojcostwa. Kolejne cztery rozdziały zostały poświęcone prezentacji założeń metodologicznych oraz rezultatów badań własnych.The subject of both theoretical analyses and empirical research of this thesis is experiences of underage boys concerning becoming and being a father. Fatherhood of underage people can be investigated as a multidimensional phenomenon since experiences connected with the issue can influence (directly or indirectly) different aspects of their existence. Regarding a life period during which the aforementioned occurrence takes place it should be perceived as premature. Simultaneously it should be assumed that the issue can generate a series of different consequences, not only in the lives of the young fathers but also in those of their partners and children. Preventive and helping projects, concerning underage boys, require a diagnosis which refers to the phenomenon. That is why, carrying out studies seems to be justified and socially important. This PhD thesis consists of seven chapters, the first three of which enfold theoretical explanations. The explanations include firstly issues connected with fatherhood and the role of a father; secondly issues connected with the descriptions of teenagers during the process of adolescence and thirdly issues referring directly to the problematic aspects of underage fatherhood.
