Professor Skrzypczak was one of the most eminent researchers in the field of pedagogy and educational studies. His many different interests are discussed. The author also deals with Professor Skrzypczak's research interests, his numerous publications and his cooperation with all the leading centres and researchers in Poland in his field of research. The author considers Professor Skrzypczak to be truly a great modern humanist, man of books and erudite. His death is a great loss to science and to his friends and coworkers. It is impossible to discuss his scientific contribution in this short article and deserves a separate, extensive study.plArtykuł
