And yet, in most of the drafts of the new constitution submitted to the National assembly, there is no direct reference to this principle. The ombudsman's position on that matter is that a concept of 'a social market economy' must be introduced into the model of the political system in the Republic of Poland. In his speeches and appearances the ombudsman has many times turned to the Constitutional Tribunal appealing for the principle of social justice to be exercised.
