They concerned issues like personality formation of Polish children at the turn of the 20th century. To be carried out properly, this kind of education required preparation of proper conditions. It should not alter the people but bring to the surface what is best in them. We should also bear in mind that at that time education had a patriotic element. Within the occupied Polish territories only proper education could help develop Poles who were aware of their identity and ready for action for the sake of the community.
