Lifelong vocational counselling is both an intrinsic ingredient of human advancement and a stimulus promoting lifelong education. Assistance offered to individuals on their way to successfully recognise and pursue their careers in the ever more complex, postmodernist world has become a serious challenge to vocational counselling. Therefore, the ultimate objective of advisory service is to provide proper lifelong vocational counselling. Its quality is determined both by the level of clients’ satisfaction and the effectiveness of services provided by advisory institutions as well as vocational counsellors’ effi ciency. The following article focuses on problems relating to quality determinants in individual vocational counselling.
