Podstawowym pojęciem w pracy jest termin orientacji muzycznych. Na potrzeby rozprawy przyjmuje się, że orientacja muzyczna to koncepcja jednostki w kontekście jej subiektywnego poczucia tożsamości oraz obrazu własnej kariery zawodowej, w oparciu o zdobytą w toku edukacji wiedzę, poziom percepcji muzycznej, wrażliwość muzyczną i zainteresowania muzyczne. Konstrukcja pracy obejmuje część teoretyczną, składającą się z pięciu rozdziałów, rozdział metodologiczny oraz rozdział zawierający wyniki analiz i interpretację badań. Pierwszy rozdział stanowi odniesienie do samej muzyki w ujęciu kulturowym oraz teoretycznym. W rozdziale drugim podjęto tematykę związaną z pedagogiką muzyki. Rozdział trzeci odnosi się do pojęcia orientacji muzycznych, natomiast w czwartym rozdziale podjęto wątek kształcenia muzycznego i struktury szkolnictwa muzycznego w Polsce. Część teoretyczną pracy kończy rozdział piąty, obejmujący psychospołeczny aspekt okresu adolescencji. Rozdział szósty stanowi metodologię badań własnych. W pracy wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego oraz technikę ankiety. Dokonana analiza badań oraz interpretacja wyników miała na celu scharakteryzowanie orientacji muzycznych młodzieży z ogólnokształcących szkół muzycznych II stopnia.The subject of this thesis is musical orientations among youth from secondary music schools of 2nd level. The basic term used in this thesis is the term of musical orientations. By musical orientations we assume the concept of an individual in the context of his/her perception of identity and image of his/her own professional career based on knowledge acquired in the process of education, level of musical perception and also musical sensitivity and musical interests. The thesis includes a theoretical part which consists of five chapters as well as methodological chapter and chapter consisting of analysis of the results and their interpretations. The first chapter refers to music from the cultural and theoretical perspective. The second chapter presents a topic connected with music pedagogy. The third chapter refers to the concept of musical orientations, while the fourth chapter presents the topic of musical education and structures of music school system in Poland. The fifth chapter is the last chapter of the theoretical part and presents a psychosocial aspect of adolescence. The sixth chapter constitutes methodology based on author’s own research. Diagnostic survey method and questionnaires were used in this thesis.
