The analysis of the data of the past years became the starting-point to calculate the tendencies of development and to estblish at their basis the future structure. The autor compared the consumption of population of France and its structure in the years l949 - 1965 at the basis of the data of the Statistical Institute (INSEE) and the data of consumption in Poland in the years 1959 - 1965. The various formulation of the data made possible different versions of establishment of the tendencies of development and the methods of calculation of the future structure of consumption. In further analysis there was taken into account the influence of social groups on structure of consumption. The autor indicated the consequences caused by differentiation of the structure of consumption and showed the limited possibilities of utilization of the statistical data owing to so far reaching differentiation of the examined community. In the last part of the work there were showed at the example of changes in consumption of some products, the differences between France and Poland at the background of other countries. These values were admittedly established by estimation but they confirmed to some extend the changes in the structure of consumption that could be observed in whole groups of articles.polinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessArtykuł
