Item Demograficzne determinanty zapotrzebowania na usługi pocztowo-telekomunikacyjne(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1970) Adamski, Eugeniusz; Karpiński, ZdzisławThe aim of the article is to show the connection that exists among postal and communication service and other factors that shape the numerical and qualitative level of these services. The problem was examined at the example of postal matters, subscribers and telephone calls as representatives for postal and telecommunication service and the demographic factors were chosen as the determinants. In the article there were used the statistical data of the communication year-books, the statistic year-books of the Chief Census Bureau and demographic year-book from the time of 1945 - 1966. In the first chapter there were marked unions among postal matters and density of population per square kilometre, the amount of married and not married per 1000 of people, the educational level, the amount of marriages and the migrational turn per 1000 of people. The greatest value of the coefficient factor of correlation were noted for postal matters with atternates as: married women — married men — (0.5815), density of population (+ 0.3910), higher education (+ 0.4691), divorced (+ 0.4476). In the second chapter there were matked uninos between subscribers and telephone calls and density of population per square kilometre, the amount of marriages and migrational turn per 1000 of people; people beyond the agriculture and these that worked in agriculture in percentages of the whole amount of people; the amouht of farms per 100 of people and the level of education. The greatest values of the coefficient factor of correlation were stated for telephone subscribers with such alternates as: marriages (+ 0.6598), higher education (+5379), basical education (—0.4163). With telephone calls we reached the greatest values for migrational turn (+ 0.8293), for farms (+ 0.4812), for higher education (+ 0.5770), for secondary education (+ 0.6001'), and for basical education (+ 0.4517). Therefore the demographic factors given above were accepted as granted for anticipation in the way of extrapolation.Item Rozwój usług łączności w okresie dwudziestopięciolecia PRL(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1970) Adamski, Eugeniusz; Karpiński, ZdzisławIn the 25-years period of Polish People's Republic the achievements of the Communication Department including its basic divisions: the post-office and the telecommunication were remarkable and become still more spectacular if we take into consideration the fact that communication facilities had to be completely rebuilt because of the tremendous destruction caused by the war and the devastation of facilities done by the Nazi occupant. Owing to the rebuilding and developing of communication facilities their actual potential exceeds the pre-war state very remarkably. The increase in post-office services of transport and bank types compared to the level of 1938 is illustrated with the following data: ordinary letters — 151%, registered letters — 342%, magazines — 215%, parcels — 182%, postal and telegraphic orders — 253%, savings put in the post-office — 188%. In 1968 there were almost 960.000 telephone subscribers (in 1939 only 225,400), 2,95 telephone subscribers and 5,09 telephones to 100 inhabitants (in 1938 0.64 and 0,86 respectively), 1063 trunk calls and 43 telegrams to 100 inhabitants (in 1939 80 and 11.4 respectively). Telex service that was unknown in this country in the pre-war period covered 3100 subscribers and 9.4 teleprinters of the telex network to 100.000 inhabitants in 1968. General development of post-office and telecommunication services was accompanied by a simultaneous leveling or reducing of differences in that field in towns and villages, in the provinces and their capitals, in accordance with the economic and cultural development of the whole country.Item Społeczno-ekonomiczne determinanty zapotrzebowania na usługi pocztowo- telekomunikacyjne(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1971) Adamski, Eugeniusz; Karpiński, ZdzisławThe purpose of the article is to show the connection between postaltelecommunication services and socio-economic factors forming the numerical and qualatative level of these services. The problem was reduced to an example of iundamental services of postal- -telecommunications as representatives of communication services and socio-economic factors were chosen as determinants. Statistic data was drawn from annual statistic on communications, yearly statistics GUS and demographic yearly 1967 - 1968. The first chapter defines the connection between postal dispatches, letters & parcels, and socio-economic factors. We note the greatest value of partial correlation coefficients for fundamental postal services with such variables as: saving accounts per resident in thousand zlotys (+ 0,7319), consumption of material goods from private incomes per inhabitant in thousand zlotys (—0.5938), employment in municipal and domestic economy per 1000 inhabitant (+0.8107) employment in education, science and culture (+0.6968). The second chapter defines the connection between subscribers: private telephones, trunk calls, and socio-economic factors. We note the greates valute for the pertial correlation coefficient for fundamental telecommunication services with such variables as: sales in State retail trade per inhabitant in thousand zlotys (+0.7281), saving accounts per inhabitant in thousand zlotys (+0.5429), employment in municipal and domestic economy per 1000 inhabitants (0.8429). Hence the socio-economic factors are accepted as being adaptable in anticipating extrapolation.
