Item Common Sense and Scientific Inquiry: Remarks on John Dewey’s Philosophy of Educational Progressivism(Wydawnictwo Naukowe Instytutu Filozofii UAM, 2016) Malitowska, Anna; Bonecki, MateuszThis paper focuses on analysis of relation between pedagogical and epistemological ideas of John Dewey. Our considerations are divided into four sections. (1) We reconstruct Dewey’s conception of culture as a body of normative and regulative common sense beliefs determining human conduct and language use. (2) Further, we compare common sense based inquiry and its scientific mode with regard to their respective conceptual frameworks in order to show that “theoretical-scientific” perspective provides more comprehensive insight into the relations constituting problem situations. (3) We identify informal education with socialization processes and argue that educational process relies on constant reflection on cultural habits. (4) We conclude that competences of using theoretical conceptual frameworks and conducting scientific inquiry play crucial role in Dewey’s educational ideology of progressivism since they provide basic tools for critical reconsideration and revision of common sense beliefs.Item Interpretacja humanistyczna a teoretyczna rekonstrukcja kultury(Oficyna Wydawnicza Epigram. Komisja Filozofii Bydgoskiego Towarzystwa Naukowego. Bydgoski Oddział Polskiego Towarzystwa Filozoficznego, 2011) Bonecki, MateuszW artykule autor prezentuje kluczowe aspekty społeczno-regulacyjnej koncepcji kultury Jerzego Kmity w celu opracowania teoretycznego kontekstu "interpretacji humanistycznej". Interpretacja ta stanowi metodę wyjaśniania ludzkiego zachowania uwzględniającą znaczenia kulturowe. Natomiast "kontekst teoretyczny" powstaje w rezultacie licznych czynności badawczych, które autor określa mianem "teoretycznej rekonstrukcji kultury". Rekonstrukcja ta - obejmując m.in. wyjaśnianie funkcjonalne, analizę językową i semantyczną, a nawet rozważania o charakterze epistemologicznym - uzasadnia stosowanie przesłanek interpretacyjnych niezależnie od samego przebiegu interpretacji i tym samym określa warunki intersubiektywnej akceptowalności twierdzeń w dyscyplinach interpretatywnych. Autor pokazuje, iż zastosowanie takiego ujęcia kultury pozwala ograniczyć subiektywność interpretacji w naukach humanistycznych.Item Jerzy Kmita – interpretacja humanistyczna i społeczno-regulacyjna koncepcja kultury(Wydawnictwo Naukowe Instytutu Filozofii, 2012) Bonecki, MateuszThis paper presents two main topics which Jerzy Kmita addresses in his methodological writings. The first one involves the conception of “humanistic interpretation” which Kmita describes as a kind of reasoning and explanation applied within the humanities. The second consists in the so-called “socio- regulatory definition of culture”, according to which culture is identified with a set of intersubjective beliefs guiding and regulating human actions. Based on both methodological concepts, humanities may be defined as a range of academic disciplines which in the course of humanistic interpretation hypothetically ascribe cultural beliefs to social agents in order to explain their behavior.Item Open innovation model within public research and innovation programmes(Uniwersytet im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu Wydział Nauk Społecznych, Instytut Filozofii UAM, 2016) Bonecki, MateuszThe paper concerns the role of open innovation within public R&D&I programmes. The history of innovation management shows that the methods used to organize research and development work have evolved towards open innovation model. The first, original, concept of “open innovation” (Chesbrough) has been coined to explain how companies diversify technology sourcing and commercialization methods, and thus represents a perspective of industry. On the other hand, Open Innovation 2.0 approach emerged in the context of policy-making and displays features characteristic of innovation systems theory. It enables a more indepth analysis of interactions between different types of actors involved in innovation process and complex R&D ecosystems.Item Participatory methods for information society(Uniwersytet im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu Wydział Nauk Społecznych, Instytut Filozofii UAM, 2016) Bonecki, Mateusz; Malitowska, AnnaThe paper provides introductory remarks to the special issue of Public Philosophy and Democratic Education dedicated to the role of participatory methods in contemporary informational society. The authors posit that in relation to classical definitions of knowledge economy, which treat knowledge as a fundamental factor of production leading to innovations in products and services, one can also acknowledge the democratizing of the innovation (technical, social, or institutional) due to increased participation of society in the process. The authors refer to information technologies which enable citizens’ participation in urban governance. They also emphasize the role of participatory-foresight methods in creating public policy based on long-term citizens-driven visions of social and economic development.Item Sensemaking – wiedza i kultura organizacji w świetle humanistyki zintegrowanej(Filo-Sofija, 2012) Bonecki, MateuszDefinitions of organizational culture usually focus on shared symbols, rituals, behavioral patterns, or even propositional assumptions concerning reality. Such phenomena represent heterogeneous collection of objects, events, and processes. Instead, the paradigm of integrated humanities defines organizational culture in terms of beliefs which provide both practical instructions for agents and shared interpretative schemes which guide the understanding of the environment. In this context, the process of “sensemaking” is understood as a knowledge-based act of cultural sense-giving or of culturally mediated construction of organizational reality. Since the meaning-creation process seems to be both culturally mediated and knowledge-based, the perspective presented in the paper is defined as an “epistemic model of organizational culture”. The so-called “agile approach” to project management is considered to have a great influence on knowledge-work organization and new product development methods. It is argued that agile organizations shape their R&D processes in accordance with the theory of complex adaptive systems and the principles of empirical process modeling in order to improve their responsiveness to market conditions or changing client requirements. Organizational agility is therefore conceived here as a function of interdisciplinary processing and the use of cross-domain knowledge about relevant factors that are present in a project’s external environment.Item Zwinne podejście do zarządzania procesem badawczo-rozwojowym(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2014) Bonecki, MateuszThis paper analyzes the evolution of research and development management methods.
