Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2012) Jankowska, Dobrochna; Rozbiegalski, PiotrThe paper outlines the preliminary results of the project ‘Final Palaeolithic and Mesolithic settlement in the area of the lower reaches of the Warta River’. No traces of such early settlement had been hitherto recognised in the investigated area. The project yielded 1500 sites with flint artefacts in the area. Over 80 sites have been classified as the Final Palaeolithic and/or Mesolithic. The distribution of the sites together with the environmental conditions and the analysis of the artefacts allowed for some hypotheses to be verified in further stages of the project.Item O pochodzeniu pomorskich grobowców bezkomorowych kultury pucharów lejkowatych(Wydawnictwo Naukowe UAM, 2005) Jankowska, DobrochnaThe article presents a short overview of discussion on the origin of the Funnel Beaker Culture in particular regions of Pomerania. In particular, an origin of the Pomerania long barrows with a stone construction is debated. The study implies that prototypes o f these monuments are to be found in the Lower Elbe region and influences from Kujavia are only detectable in the latest phase. The article tackles also a theory linking an emergence of long barrows with the late Danubian tradition („long houses”).Item Osadnictwo wczesnośredniowieczne nad Jeziorem Wojnowickim(Wydawnictwo Naukowe Uniwersytetu im. In particular, the results of excavations of remains of a metallurgical settlement at Wojnowice 2, Osieczna commune, are discussed.Item PROFESOR DR HAB. Wojciech Kóćka as a teacher and director of the Department of Archaeology of Poland and Europe at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The author gets back to major events in his life and presents Kóćka’ research achievements, in particular the book ‘Ethnogenesis of the European population’. The article concludes by postulating a reinterpretation of the theses from the book and getting back to ethnogenethic studies based upon cranial analysis.
