Item Procesy regionalizacji rynku światowego(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1978) Wojciechowski, HenrykStill intensifying in the second halí of the 20-th century disintegration of the world market causes undertaking various attempts towards its former unity. Many integration concepts are postulated, among others ideas of universalism and regionalism. The first concept assumes restoration of the world-wide order owing to multilateral agreements doing away with protective and regulating actions in the world. In turn, regionalists formulate opinions that universalization of the world economic relations can be achieved only by means of co-operation intensification and liberalization of economic relations within definite regions, and only these regions — after establishing co-operation relations — introduce the world-wide economic order. The author accords in principle with the ideas of regionalists stating that practical realization of the universalists' recommendations is not real enough to-day. In subsequent parts of the paper the author surveys developing integration processes in several world regions. Pointing out that these processes are grounded by conviction of economically associated countries that integration can create a real power of economic development, the author states that these countries can be delivered from the hegemony of economically developed countries simultaneously. Basing himself on a broad analysas of situation and achievements of particular regional integration groupings the author concludes that the process of universalization of world economic relations starts only after increasing economic significance of particular relations by way of concluded agreements and treaties. Only then the present trends to subordinate the world to the small group of rich countries can be replaced by a "new economic order" based on the principle of equality, mutual respect and regard to advantages of all participants of international economic relations.Item Światowy rynek żywności: powstanie — przemiany — perspektywy(Wydział Prawa i Administracji UAM, 1977) Wojciechowski, HenrykThe studies concerning the development and transformations which are taking place on the world food market are being widely conducted primarily because of the importance of food in the process of shaping the social and economic world development. At present the food factor — its resources and capabilities of meeting the growing needs of mankind — is the barrier limiting its future development. From the beginnings of XIX cent. the increase in world food production is a relatively smooth process, correlated with the constantly growing demand. However, already in the interwar period the world food market is undergoing serious perturbations, having their root in the difficulties of adjusting supply to effective demand. Those perturbations grew even stronger in the last 25 post-war years, during which a dramatic deepening of food crisis can be observed, focussing once more the attention on the mutual relationeship of the food supply size, food reserves, food demand and the corresponding prices. The explosion of food crisis in 1972 in these circumstances only confirms an expansion of food production on the one hand and the size of world population on the other, a correlation that affects the future world economic development as well as its economic transformations, particulary in the Third World countries. The author concentrates mainly on the possibilities of shoving off the barrier restraining further world economic development, which at present constitute the permanently growing food requirements (impossible to meet). As one of the remedies in this respect the author sees the introduction of specific changes in the world's trade pattern in the terms of trade. They will certainly have a complicated and composite character, as they stemm from numerous and various interrelated factors which are shaping the world food market.
