The influence of the water ski lift on the chosen elements of the natural environment as well as tourist and recreational activity in case of Augustów (NE Poland)

Abstract

Zaproponowano konstrukcję urządzenia i przedstawiono koncepcję dalszych badań. Urządzenia napędzające wyciąg dają efekt w postaci poziomu dźwięku poniżej 45 dB(A).
Water ski lifts are machines used for water skiing and wakeboarding without motorboat. For 6 groups of users daily intensity and structure of activity as well as seasonal activity between 2003 and 2009 were described. To increase the exploitation of the capacity of the lift the opening hours should be changed and beginners should be coached more precisely. It was theoretically shown that water ski lifts in case of a deficit of the dissolved oxygen in water helps the oxygen diffuse from air to water. In case the water saturation is above 100% the process works in opposite direction. The error of the calculations of the amount of the oxygen transferring to the lake as the effect of the lift’s work were determined. There was no influence of the lift on the amount of the dissolved oxygen during the field observations. A new measurement device and the concept of new research were applied. The lift engine gives the effect of the sound level below 45 dB(A). Equivalent sound level during the “average” day varies from 53.7 to 56.6 dB(A) and it is more than twice time less than during a hot day on the beach, where many people are staying. The lift construction, from the distance of a few hundred meters, are merge in to the lakeside. This construction is perceived both positively and negatively whereas neglected buildings in the vicinity of the lift were perceived only negatively.
