| dc.description.abstract | The article attempts to present the situation of pensioners and retired employees inhabiting the complex of cities in the Industrial Region of Górny Śląsk (Upper Silesia). The inquiry presented, based on empirical studies conducted in the years 1993 -1995 among 745 respondents, constitutes one of the first endeavours in Poland to describe the social aspects of coping with the difficulties of everyday life by pensioners and retired employees within the context of widening social poverty. | pl_PL |
