| dc.description.abstract | Niniejsza dysertacja jest rezultatem badań nad Donbasem rozumianym jako region historyczny i jego współczesną percepcją wewnątrz ukraińskiego społeczeństwa. Głównym jej celem była próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób odrębność regionalna Donbasu wpływa na kształtowanie się nowoczesnego ukraińskiego społeczeństwa i jakie jest miejsce owego regionu w ukraińskim dyskursie narodowym. Praca składa się z czterech rozdziałów problemowych. Rozdział pierwszy skoncentrowany jest na analizie treści ukraińskiego dyskursu narodowego, z założeniem, że określony sposób ujęcia dziejów narodowych w ogromnym stopniu wpływa na kształtowanie się typów postaw i tożsamości w społeczeństwie. W rozdziale tym wyróżniono dwa modele przedstawiania ukraińskiej historii narodowej, uprawiane po 1991 roku: tradycyjny i postradziecki, na bazie których formują się dwa, skrajnie odmienne „projekty Ukrainy” – zbiory wyobrażeń na temat jej przeszłości, dorobku cywilizacyjnego i wreszcie wzajemnie wykluczające się projekcje przyszłości. Trzy pozostałe rozdziały składaja się na charakterystykę regionu Donieckiego Zagłębia Węglowego, prowadzoną poprzez pryzmat historycznego rozwoju trzech szczególnych cech-zjawisk, które znamionują ten region. | dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is the result of research into the Donets Basin understood as historical region and its contemporary perceptions within Ukrainian society. The main aim of the thesis was to try to answer the question of how regional distinction of the Donbas affects the formation of the modern Ukrainian society and what is the status of this region in the Ukrainian national discourse. The dissertation consists of four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the analysis of the content of the Ukrainian national discourse, assuming that certain method of presenting national history greatly influences the development of attitudes and identity within a society. This chapter highlights the existence of two models of presenting Ukrainian national history, cultivated since 1991, the traditional model and post-Soviet one. On the basis of these models, two, extremely different, "projects of Ukraine” i.e. collections of the ideas about the past, about civilization, and finally, about mutually exclusive future projections are formed. In the remaining chapters, the characteristics of the Donets Coal Basin region are described. These descriptions were made on the basis of the historical development of the three specific characteristics-phenomena, typical of the region. These are the "Russian” culture of Ukraine, the mining culture and the myth of the Donbas separatism. | pl_PL |
