Ownership and Size Structure of Agriculture and Retail Trade of Foodstuffs in the Country
Abstract
Having in view economic and social interests retail trade should direct itself on the need of network rationality, i.e. to secure social needs in the best and quickest way and at the lowest costs. It is indispensable then that the tirade network, and —precisely speaking — factors envolved in turnover should be a function
of a settlement region (demand region). This postulate can be considered as more important when the principle of a limit of means for the turnover sphere development is taken into account. The conclusion becomes evident that for the proper steering the country's trade development it is indispensable to know such elements characterizing the country's consumers that should probably their expression in trade functioning. Ownership and size structure of agriculture must be included into these elements. Scientific recognition of conditions between elements of ownership and size structure of agriculture and functions of retail trade of foodstuffs in the country was made the aim of this article. In determined conditions valuable source of information can be seen promoting right decisions in the sphere of trade. Considerations have embraced among others a socialization process of agriculture, trends within self-provision, social and professional structure of the country's population. Results of agricultural accountings of individual farms as well as data published by the state statistical organs served as a basic source of statistical data.
