Item Biblia na tle pism sakralnych ludów ościennych(Wydział Teologiczny UAM, 2010) Stanek, TeresaComparative studies of the Bible and the sacred texts of adjacent nations have a rich tradition, but research generally focuses on comparing passages of the biblical text with adequate sacral texts of adjacent nations. However, this approach involves two problems: 1* difference of religious status - the Bible is a living reality, whereas the sacral texts of other ancient nations of the Near East are only relics; 2* form of the writings - the Bible is a uniform work, modified by the conscious acts of communities of faith while the writings of adjacent nations survive to our times only in fragments. The article takes off from a different comparatistic conception. My primary concern is not so much to bring out the similarities or discrepancies between Bible passages and adequate sacral texts of adjacent nations but rather to show the whole canon of the holy scriptures of Israel against the backdrop of the sacred writings of the Region. The comparison is built on two assumptions: 1 * origin and usage; 2* addressee of the text. Therefore, it does not refer to the question of literary genres but first and foremost to the dependencies between the text and the community.Item Jahwe i jego lud. Starsze tłumaczenia podążają za znaczeniem południe, które ma sens symboliczny - w Księdze Rodzaju bohaterowie podążający w kierunku południowym, podążają za wezwaniem Boga, ku Jego obietnicy. Tłumaczenia nowsze używają, uzasadnionej racjonalnie, nazwy geograficznej - Negew, tracąc przy tym aspekt symbolu. The synchronic analysis, started by Mary Douglas, proved that the editor o f final version o f Leviticus was a great artist, with a religious goal. Leviticus is a book that presents multiple layers o f meaning. In this article the Book of Leviticus was considered from the Religionswissenschaft point o f view. The text was divided on a major blocks according to its theme, and then asked what message was delivered through each one o f them; and subsequently, what was message o f the whole Book. Careful analysis of vocabulary, as well as the time and place o f action, allow to suggest a new structure - the four final chapters might serve as the endings for three blocks o f text. The theme leads the reader from the temple to the community; from the present to the future.Item Rytuały a teksty sakralne. Ku instytucjonalizacji tekstów w judaizmie(Wydział Teologiczny UAM, 2008) Stanek, TeresaThe article deals with the problem of formation of the canon of the Hebrew Bible on the level of correlation between the cultic institutions that formed the basis of ancient Near Eastern religions and the theological concepts inscribed into the text of the Hebrew Bible. The proposed approach is an attempt to find a new paradigm in the discussion on the uniqueness of the religion of ancient Israel. Recognition of theological concepts inscribed into sacred writings that finally substitute some of the functions of cultic institutions might provide an explanation o f the peculiarities o f the contents and form of the canon, both on the level of the whole scripture as well as particular stories. This article is part of a wider project whose aim is to describe the connection between the Hebrew Bible / Old Testament and the religion of Israel in biblical times. The idea of the project embraces multiple directions of research: the problem of formation and transmitting of the texts of the canons; the reasons why the stories, as well as the Bible as one whole, were written and transmitted in this particular content and form; the rules o f writing the text and transmitting it in the written version; multiplicity o f canons and their connections with the communities; the specifics o f the Hebrew canon against the Old Testament canon; the issue o f continuity between the religion of ancient Israel, Judaism of the Second Temple period, Christianity and rabbinic Judaism. The proposed approach underscores the fact that a canon does not exist without a community which is responsible for its creation and cultivation, therefore, it cannot be interpreted apart from it. On the other hand, it is the canon that protects the identity of the community, therefore, its hermeneutics must comply with the community’s self understanding.
