Arranged in chronological order, the press texts not only show extraordinary emotions caused by the visit of the outstanding artist, but also allow to understand social and political contexts of the describet events. Printed for the first time, the texts constitue the valuable source material not only for historians of the theatre but also for explorers of the history of Poznań in the 19th century.
