Różnorodność kulturowa uczniów wyzwaniem dla współczesnej szkoły
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Badowska, Mariola
The increasing waves of migration mean that naturally comes to the interpenetration of cultures and the phenomenon of cultural diversity. Increasing real multiculturalism in Polish schools contributes to the necessity of making changes in the education system through the creation of new educational programs geared to the diversity and preparation of teaching staff, whose mission is to support and integrate culturally diverse students in the life of the school community. Effective work that allows the inclusion of students in the school environment, requires of teaching staff not only knowledge of the principles of pedagogy inclusion, but also a high level of intercultural competence, knowledge of the issues of migration, acculturation processes and the accuracy of acculturation strategies, as well as the specifics of the phenomenon of refugees and their traumatic experiences.

Podziały etniczne i narodowościowe w Republice Mołdawskiej. Wpływ i znaczenie edukacji w dwóch odrębnych państwach – Gagauzji i Naddniestrzu
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Kasprzak, Tomasz
Moldova is a country of many paradoxes. three state capitals, located on the territory of the historical Bessarabia. I wanted to conclude the problem of Moldova's national identity and its impact on education today, especially in the autonomous territories: Gagauzia and Transnistria. Moldova is split between: the East – growing power of Russia with her influence in Transnistria and the West – the European Union and Romania. Therefore, the issue of education in Moldova is due to bilingualism and dual citizenship. Lack of an official language makes it difficult to make reforms in education. Moldova in education, is trying to emphasize the uniqueness of national and ethnic.

Ontologiczne podstawy edukacji religijnej w chrześcijaństwie
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Wysocki, Adam
The article indicates ontological bases which are at the ground of the religious education in Christianity. The touched problem considers issues of Christian anthropology and concerns the category of the person. The definite concept of the man forejudges applied pedagogic manners, that is the way of the approach to the pupil. The characteristics of the person indicates that for purposes of efforts of the man is his salvation, that in Christianity is the achievement of Communion with God, therefore the Christian religious education in its message points soteriological goals and measures. However nowadays, pluralism and multiculturalism and conditions of the public school extort using such type of the religious education which on one hand will accomplish ontological premises of Christian anthropology and on the other hand requirements of the present day.

Funkcjonowanie leśnych przedszkoli – Waldkindergaerten – w Niemczech a obraz dzieciństwa we współczesnym świecie
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Pieprzyk, Maria
The paper deals with the issue of forest kindergartens as presented in the German concept of Waldkindergarten. This concept makes a new way of thinking about child pedagogy. These kindergartens are designed to support the child in its creative process along the fact to encourage the child to further explore the surrounding nature. These specific institutions might be regarded as an answer to the challenges of modern childhood, in which the child is exposed to a toxic environment. This very toxicity could be regarded also metaphorically as a pollution of the mind through media and technology.

Use of Gamification in the IB History Class and as a Tool for Form Teacher. New Empirical Research and Solutions
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Janiec, Jerzy
This article is a presentation of new empirical research and solutions for educators who tend to examine new methods and philosophies designed for improving teaching-learning process around the world. For that purpose, the author is introducing reader to the International Baccalaureate (IB) three-dimenstional way of creating school’s curriculum with concept-based approach and idea to transfer knowledge between disciplines using global, key and related concepts. Accomplishment of this work provides a chance to form solutions according to each school’s ‘wants and needs’, e.g. focusing on stimulation of pupils behaviour by implementing the Point System of Behavioral Assessment like in the IB World School No. 006654 case. And then teachers are able to standardize new teaching methods, such as gamification, successfully implementing them in their classes. What’s more gamification can be easily used as a tool for form teachers in order to improve pupils’ social skills and strengthening their involvement in a lesson.

The Skinhead Subculture in the Czech Republic
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Smolík, Josef
This article briefly describes the skinhead subculture, its history, components, characteristics, values, attitudes and norms. It also presents the various currents of the subculture, with an emphasis on the current apolitical trend within this subculture. The article discusses not only the skinhead subculture in England (its roots, development, etc.), but also the situation in the Czech Republic. The skinhead scene in the Czech Republic is characterised by disunity, caused by political orientation and the engagements of its various supporters, who identify either with: (a) the extreme right (National Socialism), (b) the traditional current (patriotism and the classic themes of the original skinhead subculture), or (c) the extreme left (Trotskyism, communism, and anarchist or ‘autonomist’ currents). It is difficult to establish how many skinheads there are in the Czech Republic today, but one estimate puts the figure at five thousand people when adding all currents together.

Refleksje o edukacji w dobie przemian globalizacyjnych
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Myszka, Lucyna
As a consequence of globalization human life is subjected to many mechanisms that go along with it for example homogenization, culture diffusion, consumptionism, relativism and constant change, which lead to unreflectiveness affecting all aspects of human life. A human beeing exists in a common reality in accordance to a very flexible scenario, without much thought about the sense of existence. This situation reflects on education, which should concentrate on efficent spreading of knowledge and skills necessary to live in current conditions, which are a source of many chances but also dangers. Those changes can’t be analyzed without taking markets into consideration, understood as having and usefulness. Those trends cause the „production” of alumni that are very efficient from an economical point of view and oriented on self realization, but aren’t oriented on reflective exploration of the world. This situation results in comparing humans to machines and in an obsessive want of getting a diploma which certifies obtaining education understood as a commodity. This in turn is an incentive to reflect upon the foundations of education a process that is the most important investment in the development of human capital.

“Let’s Talk”: Promoting Dialogue and Answerability in Critical Humanities Education with Permeable Curriculum and an Adda-Based Pedagogy
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Dutta, Ritam
Building on Moje et al and Dyson’s work within a Bakhtinian framework of dialogism and ethics of answerability, the paper argues the need for a critical humanities educator to create dialogic learning spaces within classrooms that would be engaging for students and where students would be encouraged to draw from their various ‘funds of knowledge’ in order to connect their ‘school-world’ with their other social worlds. The paper points out the interconnected nature of our knowing-in-the-world and suggests that all teachers, but especially teachers of critical humanities or social sciences adopt an adda-based pedagogy through a permeable curriculum for promoting wholesome, student-cantered learning in colleges and universities that would harness students’ various ‘funds of knowledge’ both in and outside classrooms. The paper argues that even though the use of adda in the classroom, like other similarly negotiated curricula, does generate some challenges for educators, yet the benefits of using an adda-based pedagogy in the classroom far out-weigh its disadvantages in the creation of a democratic, equitable and engaging learning environment in classrooms.

Multiculturalism Reconsidered. Bilingual Education in Guatemala
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Drozdowicz, Jarema
The modern Maya movement is an example of a new sort of indigenous cultural activism. The long lasting struggle for indigenous rights had finally led to the renegotiation of the social, legal and political order in countries like Guatemala and Mexico. Today we witness a vibrant indigenous activism in many fields, like education for example. This paper deals with the issue of multicultural education in the mentioned countries, but also it presents critical problems of a wider process – i.e. regaining cultural freedom after 500 years of marginalization.

Towards a Critical Pedagogy of Peace Education
(Wydział Studiów Edukacyjnych Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, 2015) Shapiro, Svi
This article tackles the issue of critical pedagogy in regards to education for peace. Peace education is here seen as a holistic process of development of human potential to coexist in a less violent manner. This problem is significant for example in the context of South Africa, which is being explained in this paper. Another example of this kind of pedagogy is related to the Jewish and Greek concepts of Tikkun Olam and Parrhesia. Finally they are being emphasized the issues of empathy and pedagogy pf hope.
