Abstract
Dysertacja jest wynikiem badań tekstów, których autorzy pochodzą z byłej Jugosławii. Literaturą podmiotu stają się książki, które napisane zostały w języku słoweńskim, chorwackim, serbskim lub albańskim a ich polskie przekłady ukazały się w latach 1999-2010. Rozprawa składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwsza część obejmuje badanie kategorii politycznych i kulturowych, które wykorzystują zarówno autorzy z byłej Jugosławii oraz polscy czytelnicy: Europa, Europa Środkowa i Bałkany. Dalsze badania, przy użyciu teorii U. Altermatta, A. Appadurai, P. Scheffer, E. Said, G. Ch. Spivak, H. K. Bhabha skupiają się na przedstawieniu i przepracowaniu kategorii narodowych oraz nacjonalistycznych. W ten sposób praca ukazuje przyczyny oraz mechanizmy budowania kategorii narodu i opowiadania o narodzie.Ostatnia część studiów zawiera feministyczną i genderową analizę wskazanych tekstów. Powyższe badania dowodzą, że proza pisarzy i pisarek z byłej Jugosławii, która dociera do polskich czytelników obejmuje indywidualne narracje kobiece, autobiograficzne i historyczne, które przedstawiają lub dekonstruują sposoby budowania tożsamości narodowej. Jest anty i nacjonalistyczna, rozbija stereotypy oraz rozwarstwia wskazane wcześniej kategorie kulturowe, narodowe i płciowe, co przegapione zostaje w polskiej recepcji wskazanych książek. W ten sposób dysertacja staje się swoistym oskarżeniem i weryfikacją polskiej recepcji próz postjugosłowiańskich.
In my thesis, I research texts whose authors come from the former Yugoslavia. I focus on books that were written in Slovene, Croatian, Serbian and Albanian and were translated into Polish in the years between 1990 and 2010.Dissertation consists of three chapters. The first part of my thesis involves the study of political and cultural category: Europe, Central Europe and the Balkans. These categories are used by the authors from the former Yugoslavia and Polish readers. In another part of my research I laboured over national and nationalist categories. I use the theories that describe the global and local cultural movements. I also use the theories of U. Altermatt, A. Appadurai, P. Scheffer, E. Said, G. Ch. Spivak, H. K. Bhabha. In this way I can show the causes and mechanisms of constructing the nation and narrations about the nation. In the last part of my studies I carry out feminist and gender analysis of the texts which I read. I focus on the gender and sex of authors and literary characters. My research proves that prose of writers from the former Yugoslavia includes individual narrations – women's, autobiographical and historical. These narrations describe a mechanism of construction national identity. This prose includes also plots which deconstruct the barbarians and fratricide. It shows ideological differences between the authors and gives us the opportunity to break up a double system of nationalist and antinationalist stories. Therefore, as Butler writes, we cannot limit our research and abuse power. We have to still verify our own language and research workshop.
