»Tak vás tu máme bratři z krve Kainovy…« Rok 1968 w czeskiej świadomości literackiej, historycznej oraz kulturowej
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2014) Kowalska, Urszula
The main intention of the article was to find, introduce and analyze patterns that are present in Czech culture and that both: directly and symbolically pertain to a very specific period of a Czech history. My intention was to indicate several subjects, themes and motives, characteristic for the journalism and generation thoughts of this time period. I am introducing problems that deem to be fundamental for Czech philosophy of history and literature, and that enable interpretation of events of the year 1968, which can be treated as a breakthrough in Czech history. Amongst them, there is an afterthought over Czech faith and history, escape into privacy, the question of national identity, historical consciousness and responsibility, faith in identity-building myths. I was also trying to analyze specific ways of collective resistance shown on streets of Prague during first days after invasion.

Zderzenie codzienności XIX–XXI wieku w powieści »Prsten od vévodkyně« Františka Novotnego
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2014) Pająk, Aleksandra
The paper entitled ‘Clash of the reality from the XIX and XXI century in František Novotný’s novel Prsten of vévodkyně’ attempts to show the strategies that the author uses reconstructing distant and recent past. The book is the first part from the series Kroniky karmínových kamenů, which aims to approach Czech history in a different way than it is presented in school textbooks. The author offers the reader two almost parallel stories. The character of this „new” history is an ex-secret service agent - Zdeněk Milbach, who travels through Czech history using the time machine (which is the portrait of Božena Němcová). There is also a story from the past describing the life of his ancestor Mühlbach. He similarly is a police secret agent who is following Němcová, just like Milbach is following Alena Michálkova. It that way, Novotný proves that despite of the fact that the XIX century is already ‘historical’ period, it has a lot in common with recent history. In both periods the author stresses the events from the years 1848 and 1989, which, all the same, are milestones in the lives of both characters. This piece of work, that constitutes as hybrid combination of detective story and historical fantasy, is the example of revitalization of the subject of history in contemporary literature.

    Román Aleny Vostré
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2014) Všetička, František
Alena Vostrá built her first novel Lukewarm Wave (1966) on the catenal principle and the principle of a game. Its structure consists to a large extent of variational and framing chapters. The tectonics of Lukewarm Wave has a number of similarities with the picaresque novel, with the main work of J. Hašek and the initial novels of L. Fuks.

Jinakost jako dekanonizace v poetice rané fáze české dekadentní poezii
(Komisja Slawistyczna PAN, Oddział w Poznaniu, IFS UAM, Wydawnictwo PRO, 2014) Bednaříková, Hana
The study deals with the specific context of the Czech poetry in the period of the mid-1890´s when the aesthetical and artistic conceptions of decadence as one of the progressive modernistic movements are established. This is the frame in which Jiří Karásek ze Lvovic and Arnošt Procházka published their early collections of poems. The aim of our analyses is to study and consider to which extent the Czech decadent poetry of the mid-1890´s represents inovations in artistic methods, topics, themes as a kind of diference and otherness in a general process of decanonization comparable to the European movement of the fin de sičcle modernism.
