Abstract

The author, on the background of historical circumstances of the development of children’s toys, shows both timeless aspects of the toys (their functions are as follows: educational, ludic, socializing), as well as a certain conservatism in a children's toy. The purpose of the text is to show that on the one hand, a today’s toy refers to its predecessors, and on the other hand, it has some characteristics of modernity.
