Abstract
Przedstawiona rozprawa doktorska w zasadniczej swej części traktuje
o elastycznych własnościach stopów CuAlNi z pamięcią kształtu. Znajdują one coraz
większe zastosowanie w przemyśle, rozwiązaniach technicznych czy też medycynie. By
maksymalnie wykorzystać funkcjonalne własności tych materiałów, należy dokładnie
poznać i opisać ich własności fizyczne. Tutaj w dalszym ciągu pozostaje wiele pytań
związanych przede wszytki z mechanizmem samej przemiany.
czasu. Wkład przedstawionej pracy do obecnego stanu wiedzy stanowią przede
wszystkim wyniki temperaturowego zachowania fal powierzchniowych i wyznaczonych
na ich podstawie stałych sprężystych. Potwierdzono występowanie tzw. procesów
przedmartenzytycznych kierujących przemianą. Chodzi przede wszystkim
The doctoral dissertation is mainly concerned with the elastic properties of shape memory alloys type CuAlNi. Alloys of this type are of increasing interest and range of applications in industries, in novel technological solutions and in medicine. To be able to get maximum benefit from these alloys, their physical properties should be thoroughly recognised and described. As yet there are still many unsolved questions related first of all with the mechanism of transition. The shape memory effect and superelasticity of the alloys are strictly related to the reversible martensitic transition. It is a phase transition of first order, diffusionless and displacement type, which can be induced by temperature of mechanical stress. The experimental methods applied in the study included surface Brillouin light scattering (SBLS) spectroscopy, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and optical microscopy. Elastic properties of the above alloys were studied as a function of temperature or mechanical stress applied or –when studying ageing processes – as a function of time. The new elements contributing to the hitherto state of knowledge on the subject are the results concerning the temperature behaviour of surface waves and the elasticity constants determined on the basis of these results. The occurrence of the so-called premartensitic processes controlling the transition was confirmed by demonstrating the softening of certain combinations of elasticity constants assigned to specific shearing mechanisms.
