John K. Galbraith bimodal image of the economy in the context of Keynesian prospect of market economy functioning
Abstract
Artykuł prezentuje myśl Johna K. Galbraitha w kontekście myśli keynesowskiej. Wychodząc od koncepcji przedsiębiorstwa oraz determinantów jego rozwoju, Galbraith stwierdza, że wzrost niektórych firm prowadzi do wyłonienia się sektora planującego w gospodarce. Jest to grupa korporacji kontrolujących swoje otoczenie gospodarcze. Taki obraz gospodarki ma konsekwencje makroekonomiczne w postaci sztywności cen i płac w niektórych sektorach. Zatem koncepcja Johna K. Galbraitha wpisuje się w poszukiwania mikroekonomicznych podstaw myśli keynesowskiej.
***The paper presents the idea of John K. Galbraith in the context of Keynesian thought. Starting from the concept of the company and its growth determinants, Galbraith notes that the growth of some firms leads to the emergence of the planning sector in the economy, made of a group of corporations that control their economic environment. This economic image has its macroeconomic consequences in the form of price and wage rigidities in certain sectors. Thus, the concept of John K. Galbraith is part of the search for microeconomic foundations of Keynesian thought.
