Religijne wymiary solidarnościowej myśli społecznej w latach 1980-1981

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest analiza religijnych wymiarów solidarnościowej myśli społecznej. Podstawą interpretacji jest są dwa najważniejsze dokumenty ruchu: "Kierunki działania Związku w obecnej sytuacji kraju. Tezy do dyskusji" i "Program NSZZ “Solidarność” uchwalony przez I Krajowy Zjazd Delegatów oraz inne dokumenty Zjazdu. Solidarność deklarowała się w nich jako pluralistyczna wieloświatopoglądowa organizacja. W programie "Solidarności" Kościół Katolicki był uznawany jako ważny składnik tożsamości narodowej i element przeszłości oraz pośrednik w kontaktach z europejską kulturą. Katolickie inspiracje były widoczne w kulturalnej i społecznej części programu, podczas gdy jego ekonomiczna część była pod wpływem ideowym demokratycznego socjalizmu. Uzasadnia to spostrzeżenie Timothy Garton Asha, iż program „Solidarności” był połączeniem różnych ideowych tradycji.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the religious dimensions of the social thought of Solidarność movement. The basis of my interpretation are the two most important documents of this movement: "Kierunki działania Związku w obecnej sytuacji kraju. Tezy do dyskusji" (The Union's course of action in the current situation in Poland. Proposals for discussion) and "Program NSZZ “Solidarność” uchwalony przez I Krajowy Zjazd Delegatów (The Programme of NSZZ “Solidarność” adopted by the 1 National Convention of Delegates) and other document of the convention. Solidarność declared itself as a pluralistic organization. In the programme of Solidamość Cathotic Church was recognized as an important constituent of national identity and history, as well a mediator with a wider European culture. Catholic inspirations were visible in the cultural and social part of the programme, whereas the economic part of it was influenced by leftist and socialistic (in a democratic sense) ideas. Therefore, Timothy Garton Ash's thesis that programme of Solidamość was a fusion of different ideological traditions is fully justifiable.
