| dc.description.abstract | Przedmiotem rozprawy jest analiza hiszpańskojęzycznych traktatów medycznych z przełomu XVI i XVII wieku, przeznaczonych dla szerokiego grona odbiorców. Czytelnikami tych tekstów byli zarówno niemający wykształcenia akademickiego adepci sztuki lekarskiej, jaki osoby, które nie zajmowały się zawodowo medycyną. Głównym cele pracy jest ustalenie funkcji, jaką w dziełach tych pełnia elementy retoryczne i narracyjne. Zgodnie z zasadniczą hipotezą ich wykorzystanie miało na celu wytworzenie między autorem a czytelnikiem relacji odpowiadającej tej, która łączyła lekarza z chorym, opartej, według norm renesansowej deontologii medycznej, na zaufaniu. Hipotezą pomocniczą jest stwierdzenie, że w swych traktatach autorzy wykorzystywali wiedzę z zakresu retoryki zdobytą w czasie studiów na wydziale sztuk, które stanowiły pierwszy i obowiązkowy etap ich edukacji uniwersyteckiej. This dissertation aims to analyse late 16th and early 171h-century Spanish-language medical treatises aimed at a generał audience. The readers of these treatises, most of whom lacked university education in medicine, included both medical practitioners as well as those without any specific connection to the medical field. The primary objective of this study is to determine the functions carried out by rhetorical and narrative elements in the analysed medical treatises. The main hypothesis presented in this dissertation argues that employing these rhetorical and narrative elements aimed to create a bond of trust between the author and the reader, akin to the relationship between a doctor and a patient - in accordance with the principles of Renaissance medical deontology. The secondary hypothesis is that in their treaties, authors applied the knowledge of rhetoric they had acquired during their studies in the liberał arts, which constituted the initial and mandatory stage of their university education. El objeto del presente estudio son los tratados medicos redactados en espariol a finales del sigla XVI y principios del sigla XVII, destinados a diferentes tipos de destinatarios, tanto las personas que ejercfan alguna profesión relacionada con la medicina como los lectores no especializados. Nos planteamos analizar la función de los elementos retóricos y narrativos que encontramos en estos textos. Partimos de la hipótesis de que dichos elementos se emplean con el objetivo de establecer entre el autor y el lector una relación que corresponde a la que se entabla entre el medico y el enfermo, y, conforme a las normas de la deontologfa medica renacentista, se basa en la confianza. Ademas, consideramos que los autores de los tratados que nos ocupan aplican en sus obras recursos que aprendieron durante los estudios en la facultad de Artes, que tenfan que realizar antes de emprender la carrera de Medicina. | |
