Globalizacja i płynna nowoczesność według Zygmunta Baumana w kontekście neoliberalizmu

| dc.description.abstract | Podstawowym celem pracy jest przedstawienie stanowiska Zygmunta Baumana odnośnie globalizacji i płynnej nowoczesności w kontekście neoliberalizmu. Autor ten uważa, że globalizacja jest zjawiskiem samoistnym, kreującym fundamentalne zmiany społeczne, polityczne i gospodarcze; przy czym odnosi się do nich krytycznie - mówi o „globalizacji negatywnej”. Staram się pokazać, że globalizacja przyjmuje obecny kształt w wyniku wprowadzania w życie ideologii neoliberalnej. Porządek neoliberalny jest kreowany przez poszczególne państwa (z USA na czele) oraz określone instytucje międzynarodowe. Globalizacja, według Baumana, wyznacza pewien meta-poziom ludzkiego życia. Zmiany globalizacyjne wywierają z kolei wpływ na poziom codziennego życia, na „politykę życia”. Zmiany na poziomie polityki życia Bauman charakteryzuje jako płynną nowoczesność. W obliczu globalizacji problemem staje się władza polityczna i kulturalna. Ważną kwestią jest niezależność globalnych elit od ograniczonych terytorialnie jednostek władzy politycznej i kulturalnej. Jedną z przyczyn zbytniej płynności rzeczywistości społecznej jest nadmierna emancypacja. Istnieje wiele zagrożeń dla wolności człowieka, głównie ze strony systemów totalitarnych, jednak i wolność niesie ze sobą niebezpieczeństwa. Bauman poddaje analizie takie zjawiska w społeczeństwie współczesnym jak: emancypacja, kultura indywidualizmu, czas i przestrzeń, upłynnienie pracy. Zasadniczo, według niego, upłynnieniu uległy wszelkie związki międzyludzkie. | pl_PL |
| dc.description.abstract | The main aim of this thesis is to present the approach of Zygmunt Bauman towards globalization and liquid modernity in the context of neoliberalism. According to Bauman globalization creates fundamental social, political and economic changes. He is critical towards globalization and refers to it as “negative”. This thesis points out that the present form of globalization is due to the introduction of the neoliberal ideology. Additionally, the neoliberal agenda is created by individual institutions and countries (with the leading role of the USA). Globalization, according to Bauman, dictates some meta-level of a man’s life. Globalization changes, on the other hand, have an impactmon the level of a man’s daily life, the so called “policy of life”. Bauman introduces the term “liquid modernity” so that the changes on the level of policy of life are captured properly. In addition, in the face of globalization it is political and cultural power that become a problem. The important question here is the independence of global elites from, territorially limited, entities of political and cultural power. Excessive emancipation seems to be one of the causes of the excessive social liquid modernity. Bauman approaches the mutual relations between freedom and safety and points out that a man’s freedom is threatened with both totalitarian systems and, astonishingly enough, freedom itself. Bauman analyzes such phenomena in contemporary society as emancipation, the culture of individualism, time and space as well as the liquidization of work life. In essence, all interpersonal relations have been subjected to liquidization. | pl_PL |
