Stany skupienia jednostki lub powrót do źródeł tożsamości w powieściach Christopha Ransmayra

Abstract

W niniejszej pracy podjęta została próba zbadania na przykładzie powieści Christopha Ransmayra b e z p o ś r e d n i e j w z a j e m n e j r e l a c j i m i ę d z y heterogenicznymi złożonymi przemianami, którym podlega ogólna kondycja ludzka, a stanami skupienia występujących w naturze substancji oraz pierwiastków. Celem zrozumienia specyfiki poszczególnych stanów oraz przejść pomiędzy nimi jednostka musi wrócić do istoty rzeczy, do której prowadzi u Ransmayra konfrontacja z własną tożsamością, przeszłością, z własnymi popędami i pragnieniami, oraz powrót do natury i pierwotności. Pokazane na przykładzie wody stany skupienia życia na Ziemi tworzą podstawę do refleksji o przemianach jednostki. W analizie uwzględnione zostało podejście filozoficzne, religioznawcze, psychoanalityczne, s p o ł e c z n o - n a u k o w e , k u l t u r o z n a w c z e i literaturoznawcze, mające zobrazować wzajemne powiązania między literaturą a naukami ścisłymi. Literackie przeobrażenia stanów skupienia pokazane zostały na przykładzie powieści Ransmayra (Okropności krainy lodu i mroku [tłumaczenie autorki], Ostatni świat, Morbus Kitahara oraz Latająca góra), a w celach komparatystycznych przywołuje się dzieła takich twórców jak Franz Kafka, Hermann Broch i Elias Canetti.

This study attempts to examine the novels of Christoph Ransmayr and show a direct relation between complex heterogeneous transformations the human condition undergoes and the states of substances and elements that occur in nature. In order to understand characteristics of particular states and transitions between them, the individual has to return to the essential. In Ransmayr’s novels, the essential consists in the examination of identity and past, drives and desires, in the return to the nature and primality. The states of aggregation which can be found on Earth have been illustrated with an example of water. They provide the basis for reflection about transformation of the individual. The thesis highlights the multiple different angles of approach to the concept referring to philosophical, religious, psychoanalytic, sociological, cultural and literary studies. The theories shall depict a close interdependence between literature and natural sciences. Literary transformations of different states have been presented in Ransmayr’s novels (The Terrors of Ice and Darkness, The Last World, The Dog King and The Flying Mountain), whereas the works of such authors as Franz Kafka, Hermann Broch and Elias Canetti have been referred to for comparison purposes.

In der vorliegenden Studie wird der Versuch unternommen, am Beispiel der Romane von Christoph Ransmayr die unmittelbare Wechselbeziehung zwischen den heterogenen komplexen Verwandlungen, denen die allgemeine Befindlichkeit des Menschen unterliegt, und den Aggregatzuständen der in der Natur vorkommenden Stoffe und Elemente zu erforschen. Um Besonderheiten einzelner Zustände und Übergänge zwischen ihnen zu begreifen, muss der Einzelne zum Wesentlichen zurückkehren. Und das Wesentliche besteht bei Ransmayr in der Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen Identität, mit der Vergangenheit, mit eigenen Trieben und Wünschen, in der Rückkehr zur Natur und zum Archaischen. Di e am Be i s p i e l d e s Wa s s e r s g e z e i g t e n Aggregatzustände des Lebens auf der Erde bilden die Basis für Überlegungen zu den Verwandlungen des Einzelnen. In der Analyse sind philosophische, religionswissenschaftliche, psychoanalytische, sozialu n d k u l t u r w i s s e n s c h a f t l i c h e s o w i e literaturwissenschaftliche Ansätze miteinbezogen worden, um die Wechselbeziehungen von Literatur und Wissenschaft zu veranschaulichen. Literarische Umwandlungen der Aggregatzustände werden anhand der Romane Ransmayrs (Die Schrecken des Eises und der Finsternis, Die letzte Welt, Morbus Kitahara und Der fliegende Berg) gezeigt und es werden u.a. Werke von Franz Kafka, Hermann Broch oder Elias Canetti zum Vergleich herangezogen.
