Obraz Polski w propagandzie NRD w świetle „Neues Deutschland” (1980-1981)

Abstract

Praca przedstawia obraz Polski i dziejących się w niej wydarzeń w latach 1980-1981 przekazywany na łamach dziennika „Neues Deutschland”, centralnego organu prasowego SED. Całość składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej omówiono powstanie Niemieckiej Republiki Demokratycznej i wytworzenie się w niej systemu (mono)partyjnego. Przedstawiono też niektóre aspekty funkcjonowania propagandy w tym kraju, skupiając się przy tym na jednym z najważniejszych dla SED narzędzi propagandowych, „Neues Deutschland”. Drugi rozdział został poświęcony analizie obrazu głównie Polskiej Zjednoczonej Partii Robotniczej przekazywanego w „Neues Deutschland”. W trzecim rozdziale omówiono sposób przedstawiania przez propagandę NRD w „Neues Deutschland” NSZZ „Solidarność”. Ostatni rozdział dotyczy pomocy udzielanej Polsce w omawianym okresie przez NRD.

The study analysis, how Poland and events happening there in the years 1980-1981 were shown in the columns of the daily newspaper “Neues Deutschland”, the official party newspaper of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED). The study consists of four parts. The origin of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and formation of the (single-)party system is discussed in the first part. Also some aspects of propaganda functioning in this country are shown, focusing on the one of most important propaganda tools for the SED, „Neues Deutschland”. The second part contains analysis of the image of, mainly, the Polish United Workers’ Party in the columns of „Neues Deutschland”. In the third part the way of describing of NSZZ “Solidarność” by “Neues Deutschland” is presented. The last part shows how the GRD came to Poland’s help in the analysed period of time.
