NOMENCLATURE OF FRENCH AND POLISH ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS.
Abstract
Rozprawa dotyczy porównania francuskiej i polskiej nomenklatury w dziedzinie chemii organicznej. Pierwszy rozdział opisuje podstawowe terminy, jak: język techniczny, słownictwo specjalistyczne, nomenklatury, terminologia, oraz podstawowe pojęcia nazewnictwa chemii organicznej i typy zapisów nazw w chemii. Przeanalizowano elementy wzorów chemicznych, znaczenie i rolę liter, cyfr, prefiksów i sufiksów grecko-łacińskich, innych znaków zapisów stechiometrycznych, jak przecinki, kropki, myślniki, małe litery greckie. W części analitycznej pracy, aby uprościć analizę, tworzenie nazw związków organicznych zostało opisane wg ich podziału na klasy systematyczne. Niezwykle ważnym okazało się porównanie dokładności zapisu w języku polskim i francuskim i znalezienie znaczących różnic i odchyleń od norm systematycznego tworzenia nazw narzuconych przez IUPAC. Porównane zostało również użycie nazw zwyczajowych. Wnioski które się nasuwają w wyniku analizy ukazują, iż pomimo faktu, że organizacja IUPAC usystematyzowała nazewnictwo związków chemicznych, przez co są one do siebie podobne w różnych językach, odrębność językowa nadal jest zachowana. Zasady, które zostały ustanowione dla tworzenia nomenklatury chemicznej ułatwiają komunikację naukowców na całym świecie, a unifikacja nazw w dziedzinie chemii nie wyklucza przejawów odrębności danego języka.
The analysis involved comparing the French and Polish nomenclature in the field of organic chemistry. First we described the basics such as: technical language, specialized vocabulary, nomenclature, terminology, and we defined the basic concepts of organic chemistry that we wanted to take: organic chemistry, formulas (stoichiometric, crude, developed graphic molecular, skeletal and structural). We analyzed these formulas explaining the composition of the formulas mentioned above, the importance and role of letters, numbers and types of spelling in those stoichiometric. In skeletal and structural importance forms of names, we described the phenomenon that in chemistry the letters and figures of the formula are often replaced by signs and images. Also we interpreted clues to the chemical nomenclature and their position in dealing with: commas, periods, hyphens, capital letters, lowercase letters and Greek prefixes. To simplify the analysis, we divided the organic compounds according to the characteristic classes and to systematic table of compounds. We described the characteristic groups and rules of formation of substitutive nomenclature. It was remarkably important to discuss the priority groups of complexes which is essential topic for identifying the type of compound and subsequently formulating its name. Then we competed the proper name with the attested by IUPAC nomenclature. Despite the fact that IUPAC systematized the nomenclature of chemical compounds, the distinctiveness of language are still preserved, what shows the analysis.
