| dc.description.abstract | Głównym celem rozprawy jest analiza i interpretacja różnych modeli recepcji kultury łacińskiej w polskiej i serbskiej literaturze okresu romantyzmu, skutkiem czego można uzyskać pełniejszy obraz tradycji literackiej. Według stereotypowego podejście do historii literatury, serbskie związki z Bizancjum skutkowały ograniczoną recepcją kultury łacińskiej w literaturze serbskiej. W odniesieniu do literatury polskiej przyjmuje się, że okres romantyzmu to moment zerwania z kulturą łacińską ze względu na romantyczny filhellenizm, fascynację folklorem i narodowy partykularyzm. Hipoteza badawcza rozprawy głosi, że dokładna lektura dzieł romantyków pozwala zanegować te opinie i może prowadzić do odkrycia wielu odniesień do kultury łacińskiej w okresie romantyzmu nie tylko w polskiej, ale też w serbskiej literaturze, nawet jeśli recepcja starożytnych tradycji przyjmowała inne formy niż wcześniej. Głównym przedmiotem zainteresowania są dzieła serbskich i polskich autorów (P. Njegoš, L. Kostić, L. Nenadović, M. Jovanović, Đ. Jakšić, J.J. Zmaj, A. Mickiewicz, J. Słowacki, Z. Krasinski, C. Norwid i inni). Podstawę badań stanowi spojrzenie na recepcję kultury łacińskiej przez pryzmat pojęcia Latinitas. Istotę tego podejścia stanowi spojrzenia na ideowe i aksjologiczne znaczenie różnych zjawisk postrzeganych jako powiązane z kulturą łacińską. Cztery obszary zjawisk, łączących się z Latinitas, stanowią podstawę dla czytania dzieł romantyków: 1) stereotypy ideologiczne kojarzone z łacińskością, 2) motywy i tematy powiązane z kulturą łacińską, 3) obecność języka i alfabetu łacińskiego, 4) chrześcijaństwo zachodnie jako depozytariusz kultury łacińskiej. | pl_PL |
| dc.description.abstract | The main aim of the thesis is to analyse and interpret the different reception models of Latin culture in the Polish and Serbian literature of the Romantic period, the result of which could provide a more complete picture of the literary tradition. According to a stereotyped approach to the history of the literature, Serbian affiliation with the Byzantine culture is perceived as the reason for the limited reception of the Latin culture in Serbian literature. In the Polish literature, it is also assumed that the Romantic period is a moment of breaking off with Latin culture due to romantic philhellenism, a fascination with folklore, and national particularism. A research hypothesis of the thesis is that an accurate reading of Romantic works can negate these opinions and may lead to a discovery of many references to the Latin cultural heritage in the Romantic period, not only in the Polish but also Serbian literature even though the reception of ancient traditions has taken a different form than in the past. The primary focus of the thesis is the literary works of both Serbian and Polish authors (P. Njegoš, L. Kostić, L. Nenadović, M. Jovanović, Đ. Jakšić, J.J. Zmaj, A. Mickiewicz, J. Słowacki, Z. Krasinski, C. Norwid, and others). The basic research approach is to examine the reception of Latin culture through the lens of the Latinitas concept. The kernel of this conceptual approach is an ideological and axiological meaning of various phenomena that are perceived to be connected with the Latin culture. Four fields of Latinitas manifestations may be described which form the basis for the reading of Romantic works: 1) Ideological stereotypes associated with Latinity, 2) Motives and topics connected with the Latin culture, 3) the presence of the Latin language and alphabet, 4) Western Christianity as a transmitter of Latin culture. | pl_PL |
